Scheels ArenaNature Sauntering Circle - Theme: Spring - Emergence & Possibility
The Nature Sauntering Circle is a monthly gathering that invites participants to encounter spirituality through direct engagement with the living world. It holds spirituality as both an inner journey and a shared experience, welcoming every perspective and nurturing collective meaning. This session, facilitated by Greta and Karla, centers on spring, emergence, and possibility. Rather than focusing on abstract discussion, the practice unfolds outdoors with nature embraced as teacher, companion, and catalyst. Sauntering invites slow, reverent wandering, attentive listening, and frequent pauses, creating space for meaningful encounters with place, a wild being, or the unknown. The gathering opens with gratitude and shared intentions, followed by a land welcome that honors the original stewards and invites reflection on relationship with place. A brief meditation or discussion sets the tone for solo time on the land, then participants disperse for 30 to 45 minutes of quiet sauntering. Everyone reconvenes in a circle to share insights and experiences, and the time together concludes with gratitude and simple closing words or ritual. Please dress for the weather and wear warm, comfortable shoes or boots. Consider bringing a folding chair or blanket, and pack rain or snow gear in case conditions change. A tarp will be available for seating, and a roofed shelter is nearby if needed. Park restrooms may be open, and toilet paper will be available if they are not. The group meets at M.B. Johnson Park in Moorhead in the first left-hand parking lot near the cement walking trail entrance by the fruit trees, then walks to the nature space. Facilitators will greet participants there and may communicate by text if needed. Pre-registration is required, and there is a full refund if weather leads to cancellation.

Edgewood Golf CourseLesering Book Club - The Saga of Gösta Berling By Selma Lagerlöfr
The Lesering Book Club focuses on The Saga of Gösta Berling by Selma Lagerlöf, a landmark Swedish epic from the first woman to receive the Nobel Prize in Literature. Recently offered in the first new English translation in more than a century, the novel takes place in 1820s Sweden and follows a former minister whose drinking and past mistakes end his vocation. He finds refuge at Ekeby, the ironworks estate of Margareta Celsing, the Majoress, home to colorful veterans of the Napoleonic Wars. His rebellious, lyrical spirit captivates several women as intrigue unfolds at the estate against the wintry backdrop of rural Sweden. The story also inspired a 1924 silent film that helped launch Greta Garbo’s career.
