Moorhead Farmers Market
The Moorhead Farmers Market brings together fresh, local, and handmade goods from favorite vendors in the Trinity Lutheran Parking Lot. Live music adds to the atmosphere as shoppers browse produce and artisan items. SNAP benefits are accepted, and purchases are matched so that $10 in SNAP becomes $30 in tokens for eligible market foods, with support from Hunger Solutions of Minnesota. The market is also newly S/FMNP authorized to serve WIC participants and low-income seniors. Thanks to West Central Initiative, Power of Produce Clubs are available for children ages 4 to 12 and for adults 55 and over. These programs provide a $2 token each week to spend on fruits and vegetables, and participation is free. Weather permitting.

Pop-up Pantry
A drive-through pantry at The Neighborhood Church offers free food boxes for anyone in need. Guests can pull in and stay in their vehicles, receive a warm greeting, share brief information that helps measure the impact of the program, and have a box loaded into the back of the car for a contact-free pickup. No ID is required and everyone is welcome. There are also opportunities to help with preparation, food redistribution, and cleanup.

Designed for real-world emergencies involving adults, children and infants, this training offers hands-on practice with personalized guidance from American Red Cross certified instructors. Community members are welcome, and employers can arrange on-site group sessions for 6 to 12 participants. The course meets childcare licensing requirements. Successful completion includes a two-year Adult and Pediatric CPR, First Aid and AED certification card. The fee is $100 per person. Space is limited to 12 participants, advance registration is required to reserve a spot, payment is due before class, and registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable. Decades Club presents a kid-centered, hands-on look at the 1930s with a spotlight on Moorhead native Florence Klingensmith, the first woman to race head to head with men at national air competitions. At the Historical and Cultural Society of Clay County, young participants explore real Clay County artifacts, uncover what everyday life was like in an earlier era, and become history sleuths through interactive storytelling and guided discovery. Commemorating 25 years since the first official FM Pride in 2001 at Gooseberry Mound Park, this program reflects on the local movement’s past and the stories that shaped it. Tammy Lanaghan of Red River Rainbow Seniors offers a presentation on the history of Pride in the Fargo-Moorhead area. Following the talk, HCSCC staff lead a history harvest that gathers community memories through audio or video interviews to help grow the historical collection. Participants may be asked to share recollections of past Pride celebrations and how the meaning of Pride has evolved over time. Guests are encouraged to bring photographs and other items connected to earlier Prides to support this community archive effort.

Known as the Northern Plains Farmers Market at West Acres, it is a collaboration between the Northern Plains Botanic Garden Society and West Acres, with the Botanic Garden Society managing a lively marketplace that supports local growers, gardeners, and producers while fostering a healthy, connected community. Early in the season the selection may be lighter as harvests get underway, then more fruits and vegetables arrive and additional vendors join. At Edgewood Golf Course in Fargo, the 37th annual memorial tournament honoring Paul Howry supports the YMCA’s mission and the fund that bears his name. The day begins with registration and lunch, includes a brief program, then shifts to golf with a shotgun start in a four person scramble using the California Handicap System, and wraps up with awards and prizes. Team registration is available, and hole and tee sponsorship opportunities are offered for those who wish to support without playing. Since 1990, proceeds have helped grow the Paul Howry Endowment Fund, making the YMCA more accessible to all and reflecting Paul Howry’s legacy of spirit, mind, and body.

This memorial honors Ethos hospice patients who passed between April 1, 2025 and March 31, 2026, offering a thoughtful space for remembrance at Lindenwood Park. A community dinner at First Presbyterian Church in Fargo offers a warm welcome to all. The menu features ratatouille pasta that can be prepared vegan and dairy free when finished with lemon vinaigrette and without the parmesan garnish, served with fresh Mandt Market greens and Italian dressing. Also planned are a tamale pie with beef, pork and beans paired with chipotle coleslaw, and buffalo chicken wraps served with Mandt Market greens, Italian dressing and chips. Rhubarb cake is slated for dessert. Menu may change. This meal follows Heart-n-Soul’s pay as you are able model. Guests may contribute what they might typically spend at a local restaurant, give what they can, or cover a meal for a neighbor. Viking Ship ParkRiver Paddling Excursion
Caroline McGuire of CJM Yoga guides a mindful paddle on the Red River, inviting participants to pair movement with breath, take in the surroundings, and settle into moments of quiet that support a calm, nature-connected mindset. The outing moves at an easy pace, includes insight from a local specialist about the river, and is best suited for experienced or advanced beginner paddlers. Check-in and equipment pickup come first, followed by a brief paddling basics overview, then the group launches together. Advance registration is required and the excursion is capped at 20 vessels. The fee is $10 per person with your own vessel or $15 per person with a rental, and rental availability is limited and allocated in order of request. To receive a refund, notify organizers at least two business days in advance. If weather prevents paddling, backup dates are scheduled for the following week, with a hike as the alternative activity, and updates will be shared on the event page. This experience is part of a season-long series of River Paddling Excursions.

The format suits all experience levels, with local plant experts available to help identify grasses and wildflowers and art volunteers offering practical painting tips. Instead of the traditional method of pressing silk into carved wood, you will explore a popular approach that uses quilting cotton and foam, turning a mix of fun fabric scraps into a bright quilt-style block. All necessary materials are provided, including foam, fabric, and tools, so you can complete one colorful square. A white frame is included to showcase your finished piece. Registration covers instruction and supplies. This workshop is open to participants from middle school age through adult, and each attendee needs their own ticket. If plans change, requests made at least 72 hours before the workshop start qualify for a full refund. After that window, refunds are not issued unless a wait list can be used, though tickets may be transferred to another person. Megumi Ishikawa - Judo Weekend
Red River Judo welcomes back Sensei Megumi Ishikawa, a representative of the Global Kids Judo Network and a globally recognized judoka admired for outstanding skill in both tachi-waza and ne-waza. This three-day program features a sequence of clinics designed for children and for adults, open to beginners through advanced practitioners. Participants will receive focused instruction on standing and ground techniques, with age specific sessions arranged throughout the event.
Berry Bowl Class
Learn to create a berry rinsing bowl in a beginner friendly pottery class using stoneware clay. Start by forming your bowl from slabs, then cut slots and add drainage holes so it works well for washing and serving fresh berries. After shaping is complete, choose your preferred glaze color. Your piece will be glazed and fired for you, resulting in durable, food safe stoneware. Finished bowls will be ready for pickup in about two to three weeks. No prior experience is required.

All ages are welcome as Overtime marks ten years since the RIAA Certified Gold breakthrough Hunger In My Stomach with a high-energy stop on The Modern Day Outlaw Tour. Expect a full live band delivering favorites like Next To Me, County Line, and Divided We Fall alongside newer cuts including Soldier Up, Stand Your Ground, and Stuck In My Ways. There are no backing tracks, only real musicianship and a hard-hitting show that blends country grit, rock power, and rap intensity. The lineup features support from Wildcard, DurtE, Jake LaCoste, and Shawn Paris. General Admission is $20 in advance or $25 the day of show and includes standing-room entry only with no reserved seating, first come first served, and no VIP access or early entry. A $100 VIP Meet and Greet includes one General Admission ticket, a 45-minute casual meet, a custom drawstring bag, a signed tour poster, and a signed photo. Young artists spend a week immersed in clay, learning both wheel throwing and hand-building to create functional pottery and expressive sculptures. Instruction on the wheel covers the basics, including centering, pulling walls, and forming simple vessels such as bowls and cups. Off the wheel, campers practice pinch, coil, and slab construction to build unique pieces. Participants experiment with texture, carving, and surface design to personalize their work, and they are introduced to glazing for color and finish. The camp promotes patience, creativity, and craftsmanship in a fully equipped ceramics studio, and it wraps up with a mini art exhibition where each participant can share a collection of handmade ceramics. A community benefit at Brewhalla supports Team Purdy as they face significant medical challenges. For six years, Jared has confronted lymphoma with inpatient chemotherapy about every three to four weeks and frequent trips for treatment, all while continuing to coach, mentor, and give back. More recently, Sarah received a glioblastoma diagnosis and began care at Mayo. Their journey includes long days, uncertainty, and ongoing treatment both at Mayo and through Sanford in Fargo. Amid it all, they stay centered on family and community. Jada, 18, plans to attend UND to study physical therapy. Bo, 16, follows his interests in athletics and hunting. Jax, 12, brings enthusiasm to sports and daily life, and Ty, 5, is brimming with excitement and a love of the game. The Purdys remain active in athletics, school activities, and local involvement, drawing strength from the support around them. Donations from this benefit directly help the family during a difficult time.

It also includes Estofado de Pollo, a Peruvian chicken stew that is gluten free and dairy free, served with the same fresh side salad. For dessert, there are Peruvian brownies with lucuma mousse. This friendly 5K begins and ends at Junkyard Brewing Company in Moorhead and welcomes runners, walkers, joggers, and shufflers alike. Set out on a relaxed paddle along the Red River to look and listen for birds in the trees and in flight, guided by Audubon Great Plains. This easygoing group outing features a local expert who shares insights about the river and its wildlife. Participants arrive early for check-in and equipment, then receive a brief paddling overview before launching. Pre-registration is required, and capacity is limited to 20 vessels per excursion. The fee is $10 per person with your own vessel or $15 per person to rent, with rentals available on a first-come, first-served basis. Refunds are available with notification two business days before the excursion. Backup dates are scheduled for the following week in case of weather, and if paddling is not possible the plan shifts to a hike. Updates will be posted on the Facebook event. Still Life Yoga: The Art of Doing Less, with Casey Wollschlaeger, offers a slow, beginner-friendly hour on the gallery floor centered on gentle, mindful movement. Much of the session is spent lying down and playfully exploring simple shapes. Longer, passive holds reduce muscular effort, invite stillness, release tension, support flexibility, and deeply soothe the nervous system. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a water bottle, a yoga mat, and any props you like to use such as a blanket, blocks, or a bolster. A few mats will be available to borrow. Drop-in payment is accepted at the museum on the day of class, and advance registration is appreciated. The session cost is $6 for Rourke members and $12 for non-members. Casey holds a 235-hour yoga teaching certification and specializes in yin practices that cultivate breath awareness and restorative relaxation. She earned a BFA in Photography from Minnesota State University Moorhead in 2004, began that summer as a photographer at Glacier National Park where she attended her first yoga class, and has practiced ever since. She lives in Moorhead, MN with her partner, daughter, two cats, many houseplants, and a touch of wildlife, and she enjoys when art and yoga come together.

Each project features black walnut and other fine hardwoods, accented with up to two epoxy colors that participants select on site. After the session, pieces cure for about a week before entering a detailed finishing phase that typically lasts 8 to 10 weeks, with total turnaround influenced by class size and shipping. Finished creations are carefully shipped to participants. All ticket sales are final. If an attendee cannot make it, another person may take their place. This year’s program highlights the 55th anniversary of Tapestry and Music, the landmark 1971 albums, with the second set dedicated entirely to songs from Tapestry. The Raspberry Jam Band features Kari Marie del Rio on piano and vocals, Cayden Ganser on guitar, Matthew Tinjum on drums, Doug Neill on bass, and “Dakota Kate” Henne on harmonica, mandolin, and violin. Featured vocalists Andi Thoreson and Sarah Morrau add powerful lead moments, and special guests broaden the ensemble with a horn section and a second keyboardist. A social hour gets things started as Deb’s Corner Foods serves a range of meals and snacks for both meat lovers and vegetarian or vegan diners, available from the time doors open through intermission or while supplies last. The venue also offers cold beverages for purchase, including a full bar with ID. All ages are welcome, and children under 7 are admitted free. Every ticket includes access to a round or hightop table, and seating is first come, first served. General admission and ADA tickets are $19.71.
