This garden gathering offers informal time with an experienced gardener who provides hands-on guidance on caring for the community plot and explains the reasons behind different techniques for various plants. If you can, bring a water bottle and gardening gloves. A limited number of these items may be available, and a folding lawn chair is optional. Regular volunteers who contribute their time to growing food may harvest during the gathering with permission from the team. Each small session focuses on the essentials of mixing, shaping, and baking, and introduces a simple approach to caring for a starter that does not require daily feedings or discard, so you feed it only when you plan to bake. Follow clear, step-by-step instruction from starter to a crisp, beautifully baked loaf, enjoy a taste of fresh bread, and practice scoring for an attractive crust. Every participant takes home dough to bake the next day, a low-maintenance starter, and a toolkit that includes a banneton, dough sling, Danish dough whisk, bread lame, silicone bowl scraper, and narrow jar scraper, along with the recipe in both digital and printed formats. Cruz-In Forks Downtown Car Show brings automotive fans to Downtown Grand Forks, presented by East Side Rides, Northern Cruz Club, and Prime Steel Car Club with support from the DDA. Classic cars, hot rods, muscle cars, and more transform the city center into a lively showcase. There is no cost to attend and everyone is welcome. Pair the show with dinner at a favorite downtown restaurant and take a relaxed stroll through the displays.
