Now in its third year, this junior league brings four teams together for weekly head-to-head play at Jack Hoeven Wee Links. Participants compete in two-person scramble matches that use match play scoring, with three points available across nine holes divided into three-hole segments. Teams representing Souris Valley Golf Course, Beowulf Club, Jack Hoeven Wee Links, and Vardon Golf Club square off through a six-week regular season at the Wee Links, followed by a two-round playoff. Each course fields a team of eight that is divided into pairs for every matchup. If one roster fills, players may be reassigned to another team to keep the competition balanced and ensure the league runs smoothly. Families are asked to let Parker know in advance if a player will miss an evening so pairings can be adjusted. Divisions are available for ages 5 to 10 and 11 to 15. The fee is $50 per participant and includes a team jersey, a bag tag, and green fees. Separate nights are offered for girls and boys.

The Minot Junior Golf Association partners again with the Minot Optimist Club for a friendly tournament at Jack Hoeven Wee Links. Young golfers can enter a four person scramble with divisions for ages 5 to 7, 8 to 11, and 12 to 15. The fee is $10 per participant. Check in opens 30 minutes before play begins. MJGA events emphasize learning the game, having fun, and getting a feel for competitive play. Parent supervision is encouraged for younger players who may need help with etiquette, scoring, or choosing clubs. Advance registration is recommended, and day of sign ups may be accommodated.

Minot Out of the Darkness Community Walk
This community walk focuses on saving lives and offering hope to those affected by suicide. It brings people together in a supportive space where participants can connect with others who understand and work collectively to make a difference. Routes are non-competitive and range from 1 to 3 miles. Details for the Minot Walk route and other specifics will be shared closer to the day. The program features an opening ceremony, activities centered on hope and healing, resource tables, and complimentary honor beads for all participants. Funds raised support AFSP through mental health research, prevention education, advocacy, and support for survivors of loss.

Caesar Fest turns Citizens Alley in Downtown Minot into a friendly showdown for the city’s best Caesar. Local bars and restaurants serve their signature takes while guests sample and vote to crown the champion. Expect lively tastings, music, raffles, and plenty of good-natured rivalry, and know it goes on rain or shine. Ticket options include a VIP table for eight at $1,000, reserved upper deck seating at $500 for four or $1,000 for eight, individual admission at $62.50, and designated driver tickets at $30. The 10.15 Project
The 10.15 Project is a fundraising relay run created to honor pregnancy and infant loss across North Dakota. Over four days, a team of runners will cover more than 400 miles, carrying personal stories of love, loss, and resilience. The focus is on presence and remembrance rather than pace, and each mile stands for a story. The mission is to build a compassionate, visible movement grounded in endurance, remembrance, and community, while supporting families and the organizations that accompany them through grief. Recognizing that one in four pregnancies ends in loss and that many families experience infant loss each year, the project strives to ensure those navigating grief are met with acknowledgment, connection, and community. There are several ways to take part. Run a mile, tell a story, offer support, volunteer, or encourage the runners. Every show of support helps honor lives remembered and brings hope to families who are grieving. Details about becoming a featured runner will be shared soon.
