Chaos Games brings Pokémon action to iMagicon with beginner-friendly activities, hands-on play, and plenty of chances to build, battle, and trade. Take part in Build & Battle sessions with a $30 entry fee, paid at the Chaos Games booth, a welcoming way for new players to learn and compete in a low-pressure setting. An additional open session focuses on trading, learning to play, and deck building, inviting participants of all experience levels to sharpen skills and craft stronger decks. Expect practical guidance, opportunities to test strategy, and ways to expand a collection. The event takes place at the North Dakota State Fairgrounds.

Totally Rad 80s Prom... Gone Bad

Upstairs at The Spot transforms into an over-the-top 80s prom where a murder mystery unfolds at Mayhem High. Expect neon, tulle, teased hair, prom court moments, photo backdrops, and a soundtrack packed with throwback favorites. A Prom King and Queen will be crowned, the dance floor will be buzzing, and at some point the story takes a dark turn as the mystery kicks in. This interactive experience welcomes sleuths and wallflowers alike... participation is completely optional. A limited Prom Court Experience ticket includes a character role in the investigation, while general admission offers a close view of the drama with plenty of time to dance and enjoy the party. Once the culprit is revealed, the night shifts into a full-on 80s dance party to wrap things up. One crown, one high school, and one unforgettable whodunit at Mayhem High.

Big Bingo April - Open to the Public

Big Bingo returns for an open-to-all event featuring 20 games, with the final round offering a $500 jackpot. Dinner will be available, and full payouts are contingent on meeting minimum sales.

Risha Bergstrom

The Blue hosts singer and songwriter Risha Bergstrom in downtown Minot. A southeastern Kentucky native who now calls Minot home, she is a music teacher and active local performer known for velvety, soul rich vocals with a hint of Southern warmth. MJGA Junior Clinic at The Bunker

Experience a comprehensive golf clinic at The Bunker presented by the Minot Junior Golf Association. Instruction is led by MJGA Director of Golf Programming Parker Bartels together with MJGA staff. The clinic is designed for new and intermediate players with little to no experience, while golfers of any skill level are welcome. "Honey Harvest" Cookie Decorating Class

A beginner-friendly cookie decorating class at Realty ONE Group Magnum in Minot brings warm, golden vibes indoors with a honey harvest theme. Participants receive step-by-step guidance to create honey-inspired designs, including a bumble bee, honey jar, honey bear, daisy flower, honeycomb, and beehive. Totally Rad 80s Prom Gone Bad

Mayhem High is hosting an 80s prom night. Prom King and Queen will be crowned, and the dance floor will be full of iconic 80s hits. During the night, something goes wrong. This interactive prom experience allows you to choose your level of participation. Guests can step into a character role, investigate the mystery, or simply dance, drink, and enjoy the party. The interactive mystery concludes around 9:30 PM, followed by an 80s dance party. Costumes are strongly encouraged.

Shortcut to Summer Transformation Challenge

Kick off your warm-weather goals with a free six week transformation challenge hosted at Total Nutrition Minot. This program welcomes every fitness level and focuses on building muscle, reducing body fat, and staying accountable within a supportive community. Participants complete a complimentary InBody body composition scan at the start and again at the end of the six weeks so progress is measured by muscle gained and body fat lost. Earn $5 in store credit for each pound of muscle added and $5 for every percent of body fat reduced, with top finishers receiving cash prizes or additional rewards. For every pound of muscle gained and every percent of body fat lost by participants, $1 is donated to Mrs. Field's Closet. Early registration includes a $10 in store credit that will be available during weigh in week.

North Central Spring Job Fair

The North Central Spring Job Fair brings together employers and job seekers from across the region at Minot Municipal Auditorium. Participants can speak with multiple hiring teams in one location, learn about current openings, and make professional connections whether actively searching or exploring career options. Employers have the chance to present their organizations, promote open roles, and meet candidates in person. There is no cost for job seekers to attend.

Isidore Tablet Case Class

Create a custom padded tablet case sized to your device to help keep electronics protected while traveling. This confident beginner class includes light quilting before cutting and assembling the case during the session. Supplies include 1/3 yard of main fabric, 1/3 yard of lining fabric, optional accent fabric, 1/3 yard of sew-in foam, 1-1/2 yards of fusible woven interfacing, a basic sewing kit, an even feed or walking foot, and matching thread. Cost is $30.

LEGO Club

LEGO Club meets in the Imagination Station at Minot Public Library, offering hands-on time to build with LEGO bricks. The program is designed for children ages 4 through fifth grade, and parents who enjoy building can take part as well. Each session introduces fresh chances to create structures and vehicles, and participants’ work is showcased in the Children’s Library each month. MSU Juried Student Show

Hosted by the Northwest Arts Center, this annual juried exhibition showcases artwork created by Minot State University students and continues a longstanding campus tradition. Jurors are drawn from regional artists, educators, and other art professionals. The juror is Todd Hebert, an artist and painter who serves as an Associate Professor of Painting and Drawing at the University of North Dakota. An opening reception with the juror will feature remarks and an awards presentation, and admission to both the exhibition and the reception is free for all visitors. The gallery is located in the Northwest Arts Center on the lower level of the Gordon B. Olson Library, with a dedicated entrance on the building’s south side. It is open Tuesday through Friday and on Saturday, with additional visits available by special arrangement, and it is closed on holidays. This program is supported in part by the North Dakota Council on the Arts, with funding from the state legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts.

Lunch & Learn

Take a break with a quick Lunch & Learn hosted by the Ward County Master Gardeners. This installment’s topic will be announced, and the format offers a short, midday serving of gardening insights. It is free and open to everyone and takes place at the Ward County Administration Building. Other sessions in the series explore subjects such as weed identification and control and herbs. Prairie Grit Power — Prairie Grit Adaptive Sports

This adaptive group fitness class is designed for athletes of all skill levels, offering an encouraging space to develop physical power and assurance. Elementary STEM

1-Hour Banana Class with Olivia

Decoupage Planter Workshop

Ladies Night

Ladies Night welcomes shooters of every experience level for an indoor range session centered on safe firearm handling and basic handgun operation. Women Range Officers are available to support newcomers and provide guidance throughout the session. The cost to shoot is $5. A loaner pistol can be provided if you do not have one. Please bring your own ammunition in .22LR, 9mm, or .380, with at least 100 rounds recommended.

Adult Wheelchair Basketball

Wheelchair basketball at the YMCA welcomes adults of all ability levels to build skills and enjoy playing in a supportive setting. Participation is free, and all necessary equipment is provided.

Ceramic Class: Pinch Pot Planters

Create your very own pinch pot planter. During this class, students will learn to make a pinch pot and transform it into a planter. Participants will also craft a tray using slab and pinch techniques. A variety of glazes will be available to choose from. The museum will handle the firing and glazing process. Keep in mind that short nails are encouraged. After the masterpiece is complete, it will be available for pickup during the Open Art Studio.

Lego 'Star Wars' Build Event

An in-store LEGO building event celebrates Star Wars with hands-on fun. It is designed for builders age 10 and older, and attendees of all ages are welcome.

Pokémon Club

The Pokémon Club returns to Minot Public Library for ages 6 to 12 who want to learn the trading card game or brush up on their play. Each session features gameplay basics, deck building and strategy, creative crafts, and chances to trade cards. The club meets on the first Friday of each month, except in April when it moves to the second Friday. No registration is required.

Creative Clique

A creative program for preteen and middle school youth to make a variety of projects together, held at Ward County Public Library. The event is free.

Citywide Cleanup

A citywide cleanup focuses on sprucing up the Magic City by clearing litter near local businesses and the main entrances to town after the snowmelt revealed debris. Work teams, groups, and individuals take part across the community. The first 500 people who register in person at the Minot Area Chamber EDC receive complimentary gloves and garbage bags. Once bags are filled, they are stacked along the roadside for city crews to collect. Presenting sponsors are Chevron and Creedence Energy Services. Main Street Books hosts children’s author Daniel Wolfe for a signing of Sofia’s Monster, his newest release. Meet the author, get a copy signed, and learn more about the stories he creates for and inspired by his own children. Sofia’s Monster follows Sofia, eager to head outside, and her dad, who prefers to stay in, when a monster suddenly tromps into their apartment. Together they figure out what kind of creature they are dealing with and what to do next, highlighting imagination and the strong bond between a child and a parent. The monster’s playful traits include brushing long, soft hair with a toothbrush, wearing shark underwear, and fluttering little butterfly-like wings, making this a story that encourages creativity and shared reading for young readers and their families.

Movie Night – Minot Symphony 100th Season

Movie Night is part of the Minot Symphony’s 100th season and features Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl with the Minot Symphony Orchestra performing Klaus Badelt and Hans Zimmer’s score in sync with the film. The experience is offered in two performances. The film is rated PG-13 and runs about two hours and forty-five minutes, including a twenty-minute intermission. This event is family friendly and alcohol free.

90's & 2000's Throwback Night

Bowl-a-Palooza

Bowl-a-Palooza returns to North Hill Bowl in Minot with an afternoon of bowling, laughs, food, and upbeat competition in support of Souris Valley United Way. Teams of friends, coworkers, or even the most competitive family members can take to the lanes for a feel-good mix of fun and fundraising. Teams of four can choose between Regular and VIP options at $160 and $200. Creativity is encouraged, with prizes planned for best team name, best team costume, and highest score. A 50/50 raffle and additional raffle items keep the excitement going. Each team receives a link to share so supporters can purchase playful sabotages for their bowlers, and the participant who weathers the most will be named the Chaos Champion. "Little Chicago"

The Minot Area Council of the Arts and ND filmmaker Daniel Bielinski are hosting a presentation focusing on North Dakota films currently in development, including a North Dakota gangster movie called “Little Chicago”, which tells the story of Minot during Prohibition. Following the presentation, there will be a premiere screening of “Medora: Empress of the Badlands.” Tickets for the screening are sold separately.

2026 Minot Shrine Circus

The Minot Shrine Circus arrives at the North Dakota State Fairgrounds, taking place inside the All Seasons Arena at the North Dakota State Fair Center. Multiple performances are scheduled across several days. Seating is general admission with no reserved seats. Advance tickets will be available soon at Magic City Hoagies and Rick’s Jewelry in Downtown Minot, Don Bessette Hyundai in Minot and Rugby, Thrifty White Pharmacy at Town & Country, and all Marketplace Foods locations in Minot. Advance prices are $15 for adults, $12 for teens ages 13 to 18, $12 for seniors 65 and older, $12 for active duty military, $8 for children from kindergarten through age 12, and free for preschoolers. At Minot State University, this camp centers on core skill development for high school student-athletes and includes an evaluation component to gauge readiness for competing at the college level. Participation is limited to a specific group of players as defined by the camp.

Hair of the Dog

At Atypical Brewery & Barrelworks, Hair of the Dog brings together running, dogs, and beer to support animal rescue organizations in the community. The 5K Run, Walk, and Dog Jog is a traditional timed race where participants can go for a fast finish or take an easy pace, and dogs are welcome though not required. Each human participant receives a signature Hair of the Dog mug and a complimentary post run beer at Atypical Brewery & Barrelworks. The Beer Mile marks its third year with a four beers, one mile format. Participants drink a full can within the designated beer zone, run a quarter mile loop, and repeat for a total of four laps. If a participant gets sick, a one lap penalty is required without consuming an additional beer. Teams of four can choose a relay option. A valid ID is required to race and wristbands issued at check in must be worn throughout. Beer Mile participants also receive the signature mug along with the four Atypical beers used during the race. The Wiener Dog Derby welcomes Dachshunds and Dachshund mixes. If registrations allow, age groups may be created, otherwise the top three finishers are recognized. Each dog should have two human helpers, one to release at the start when the race director signals the beginning and one at the finish encouraging the quick dash with treats. Every dog participant receives a treat bag and a custom race bandana. Children 12 and under can take part in the Kids Donut Dash by eating a donut quickly and then running a quarter mile, with all participants receiving a Donut Dash medal.

City of Minot Impound auction

An in-person impound auction conducted for the City of Minot features a varied selection of impounded property. Items slated for sale include vehicles, items with restrictions, assorted goods, and around fifty bicycles. The auction takes place live at the site.

Folding Angels Card Makers

Folding Angels Card Makers gathers during the school year to create handmade cards that are donated to residents of Dakota Boys & Girls Ranch and to individuals at the Ward County Jail and the ND State Penitentiary, helping them stay connected with family and friends. All materials are supplied, so there is nothing participants need to bring. Spent printer ink cartridges dropped off in the fellowship hall help earn rewards that keep this effort stocked with supplies.

2026 MINOT TATTOO EXPO

The first Minot Tattoo Expo, hosted by Ink Masters Tattoo Show, brings together up to 80 award-winning tattoo artists for live tattooing in a wide range of styles, including realism, traditional, black and grey, and full color. Tickets are available at the door only, with single-day admission priced at $25 and a three-day pass offered for $40. Free raffle drawings will award $1,200 in tattoo work across the event, with two tattoos given away each day and prizes redeemable with participating artists of the winner’s choice. Raffle entry is free, and participants must be 18 or older with a valid ID and be present to win. All ages are welcome, and children must be accompanied by an adult. Tattoo services are available only to guests 18 and older with a valid ID.

A non-refundable $15 holding fee reserves a spot and covers soil. Plant selections start at $8.99, and the final total is calculated at the end based on what is chosen. The 28th Annual Building Hope Women’s Golf Tournament brings women golfers to Souris Valley Golf Course for a full day of play, contests, and a special chopper drop. Check-in precedes a shotgun start, and prizes are planned for first, second, and third place, last place, longest drive, longest putt, closest to the pin, and the most creatively decorated golf cart. Proceeds support the CancerCare Patient Assistance Fund, which provides direct financial assistance to patients and families and helps with essentials such as gas cards, wigs, and compression garments. 6th Annual Kirk Elm Classic

The 6th Annual Kirk Elm Classic at Vardon Gold Club honors Kirk’s contagious laugh, warm personality, and memorable impressions with a day of golf and giving. The event begins with pre round check in, a welcome with rules, and beer available at no cost while supplies last, then moves into a shotgun start. Teams of four will play an 18 hole scramble, with mulligans available for purchase and a special hole inspired by Kirk. Shoes are optional, and golfing barefoot is encouraged. Prizes and payouts recognize the top three teams across three flights, with pin prizes on every hole and cash for closest to the hole on all par 3s. There is a chance to win a new car with a hole in one. A steak dinner is awarded for a long putt on every hole, a nod to Kirk’s favorite meal.
