Groups & Meetups

The Mom Co

Registration for the 2025/2026 season of MOM Co is open with the theme MAKE IT AWKWARD, continuing to build a welcoming mom community in Central Nebraska. This group is a ministry of MOPS International in partnership with Third City Christian Church and meets in the Plaza at Third City, with childcare provided. Gatherings give mothers of children from birth through kindergarten time to connect, learn, and support one another. Expect snacks, a relevant topic about this stage of motherhood, table conversations with other moms and mentor moms, and a mix of fun activities and events. Participation is open to all, including those who do not attend Third City Christian Church or identify as Christian. It is possible to try a meeting before paying the $40 membership fee. Pre-registration is requested to help with table group placement, childcare planning, and staying informed about upcoming activities, and families can include any children who may need care, including older kids who might attend during school breaks.

Fundraisers

Go Green for the Green Fundraiser with Alter Metal

Alter Metal’s Go Green for the Green fundraiser benefits the Central Nebraska Humane Society. Participants can bring scrap metal to Alter Metal or to the collection bin at the Central Nebraska Humane Society, let staff know the donation is for the shelter, and proceeds go directly to the organization with every dollar matched. Items such as aluminum cans, old appliances, and junk cars can be turned into food, medical care, and second chances for animals. Cleaning out garages, barns, and sheds can become lifesaving support.
