Advanced Art for Teens: Mastering Observation with Lisa Salerno

Milford · Creative Ventures Gallery LLC, 411 Nashua Street

Designed for dedicated teen artists, this class develops core skills in academic drawing and painting through direct observation. Participants work from still lifes, landscapes, and live portrait studies while training their eye to judge proportion, light, form, and color. Along the way, they explore a range of techniques and prompts, connect with modern and contemporary art movements, and look to notable artists for direction and ideas. Guided by Lisa Salerno at Creative Ventures Gallery LLC, students build confidence and versatility in their practice, learn from one another, and take part in critiques modeled after an art school environment. In addition to structured assignments, teens may pursue an independent project and receive focused support as they refine their craft.
