Sunday Board Games at The Guild Hall

The Guild Hall Hobby, 200 Chester Ave, Moorestown · verified Aug 30
    Free

Spend Sunday enjoying board games at The Guild Hall Hobby in the Moorestown Mall. Choose from an extensive library of more than 600 titles that are free to play on Sundays, or bring your own favorites. Most of the collection is listed on the shop’s website, and new releases may be available even before they are added to the list. The store has relocated and is now directly across from the food court where FYE used to be. If you enter through the food court, walk straight into the main section of the mall and you will find it ahead, a bit down from the previous location. If you plan to attend, RSVPs are helpful since the event may be canceled if no one other than the organizer signs up.

ADHD Social Skills Group Ages 10-15

1 Executive Dr, Marlton · verified Aug 30
    See details

This small-group program supports children and teens ages 10 to 15 with ADHD in building practical social skills through direct instruction, modeling, guided practice with peers, and structured activities and games. Each week focuses on one skill that is introduced, demonstrated, and rehearsed together, with in-the-moment coaching throughout the session. Topics can include joining group conversations, starting and sustaining dialogue, perspective taking or reading the room, handling wins and losses appropriately, managing frustration and disappointment, sharing information back and forth rather than monologuing, exercising self-control and managing impulses, cooperating as a team, resolving social conflicts, and building and maintaining friendships. The goal is to move beyond simply knowing social rules and toward using them successfully in everyday situations. Led by Mike Marchionne, M.S., BCBA, the group offers a supportive setting where participants can build confidence, make connections, and practice meaningful interactions while receiving real-time feedback. After each session, parents receive a brief summary with suggestions for continued practice at home. Participation is limited to 10 individuals per group.
