Participants will complete two projects, beginning with a guided demonstration to spark ideas, then moving into a student-selected piece chosen from several options. Foundational sculptural methods are introduced on the first day to support both projects. The class is designed to build skills, encourage creative exploration, and lead to a finished sculpture while deepening appreciation for three-dimensional art. Any samples shared are intended as inspiration rather than required outcomes. Those with prior clay experience who did not attend the first two workshops can take part. The series begins with three building-focused meetings, followed by a dedicated glazing class. A make-up or catch-up session is included in the price and requires sign-up. The final meeting features a group critique and pickup of completed work. Instruction is led by sculptor Deborah Mae Corona, who has been mentored by Eric Blome, Anne Stryke, and Wanxin Zhang. She holds an MFA from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco and teaches with an emphasis on both technical skill and intuitive development, approaching art as a universal language that can speak for itself. Each medallion contains one half troy ounce of .999 fine silver, is sealed in an air-tight capsule, and is presented with decorative matting. The edition is capped at 2,000, and the packaging is individually numbered. Moon Rocks 2026 invites filmmakers across Northern Nevada to take on a fast-paced sci-fi challenge that transforms big ideas into a finished short in just two weeks. Teams receive three surprise prompts—a line of dialogue, a sound effect, and a prop—then race to write, shoot, edit, and deliver a 5 to 9 minute film within the deadline. Submitted films premiere on the big screen at the Brewery Arts Center before audiences and judges, culminating in a screening and awards presentation. Two screenings are available, with matinee tickets at $15 and evening tickets at $20, and a double feature pass for $25. Team registration is $25, and each team receives two complimentary tickets to the screenings along with the chance to showcase their work to a live audience. Whether seasoned or brand new, participants can push their creativity, collaborate with fellow artists, and compete for awards and audience recognition.

Live amateur boxing takes over the historic Nevada State Prison in Carson City, turning this landmark into a distinctive setting for a day of bouts. The event benefits the Nevada State Prison Preservation Society, which works to preserve the site’s history, and the Tazmanian Boxing Club, Parkinson’s Warriors, a program that uses boxing to support people living with Parkinson’s disease. The day includes athlete weigh-ins, a coach meeting, doors opening to the public, and the start of competition. General admission is $25. An optional timed guided tour of the prison’s execution chamber is available for an additional $10.
