Cook-Off for a Cause
Pearl Street Diner hosts a spirited community cook-off where Albany’s top public servants and local business owners face off in friendly competition to raise funds for Hive of Hope. In partnership with United Way and the diner, this fundraiser channels all proceeds to Hive of Hope, a nonprofit that supports people in recovery from substance use disorder. The organization fosters a sober, supportive and active recovery community by helping replace the urge to use with the desire to contribute. It works to ease loneliness and boredom and builds meaningful connections through fellowship, recreation, exercise, nutrition and service, so participants can find fulfillment and support one another. Businesses and organizations can participate through sponsorships, with Gold at $2,000 offering prominent logo placement and recognition at the event along with inclusion in promotional materials. Silver at $1,500 includes logo placement and recognition, with the logo featured in promotional materials. Bronze at $500 provides logo recognition at the event. Donations of any size are appreciated and help sustain recovery programming and community outreach.
