Less than ten years into her career, the Georgia-born, Nashville-based singer, songwriter, and guitarist has earned recognition for work that helps make sense of contemporary life and offers grounded ways to move through it. After the acclaimed debut Expectations in 2020, which brought an Emerging Artist of the Year nomination from the Americana Music Association, she has continued to delve into themes of identity, self-acceptance, and the courage to live truthfully. Her latest album, Fools for the Fleeting, turns toward the realities of impermanence, blending poetic observation with candid storytelling to consider ecological worry, the fragility of love, and the loneliness that can come with a digitized world. As her third full-length and the follow-up to 2024’s Mantras, it seeks a feeling rooted to the earth, using the natural world as a mirror for inner life. The music centers on a focused mix of Americana and indie rock, shaped by acoustic textures and the compelling spark of live playing with contributors such as guitarist Juan Solorzano and drummer Aksel Coe. Themes of transience, grief, connection, presence, and surrender run through the work, with her warm, soulful voice at the forefront.

This monthly club invites performers to dig into the craft of clowning, leaning into the ridiculous, learning from missteps, and finding laughter through openness and vulnerability. Experience is not necessary. The session unfolds in two parts. First comes a guided workshop covering essential clown principles through group and solo exercises, with attention to presence, play, creative risk taking, and discovering what makes each person funny in a way that can be shared with an audience. The second portion focuses on devising original material for solo, duo, or ensemble pieces, whether developing an existing idea or discovering something new in the room. The approach centers on theatrical clowning rather than circus traditions. There are no red noses, juggling, or trick routines. The emphasis is on authentic humor, genuine connection, and the appeal of imperfection in performance. Instructors Jack and Zoe are American clowns who met while studying at École Philippe Gaulier in France. Together they create and produce original clown theatre, including A Night of Drama, named one of the best shows in 2024 by Time Out NY, which has played to sold out audiences in New York City, London, and at the Edinburgh Fringe, and Dog Funeral, described by Cog Journal as a hilariously unconventional take on grief, performed in London, at Ventnor Fringe, and on a Northeast US tour. Their work also includes appearances with Underbelly at the Edinburgh Fringe, with the London Clown Festival at Soho Theatre, and at The Weekend of Weird at Brighton Fringe.

Explore a 173 acre equine sanctuary during a public open day, with opportunities to spend time with more than 80 rescued horses, ponies, donkeys, and mules. Many residents were saved from slaughter, abuse, or neglect, and the sanctuary also houses retired Military Working Horses. Learn their stories and see how they are enjoying their new lives. Visitors may bring a picnic to enjoy by the pond or in the picnic area.

Grammy-nominated jazz vocalist, composer, arranger, and producer Thana Alexa brings an adventurous sound that blends jazz with global and electronic elements while centering social activism, mental health awareness, and the elevation of female voices. Her work includes Resonance, a 2025 song cycle that examines how sound and frequency can prompt physiological and molecular responses and influence mental health. A frequent collaborator with her husband, four-time Grammy winner Antonio Sánchez, she has shared nine recordings across her albums and his projects Migration and Bad Hombre, and together they were commissioned by the University of California Northridge to create Existencia for voice, drums, and physical movement. For this appearance, Alexa performs on voice, loops, effects, and percussion with Rachel Eckroth on piano, keys, and voice, Kaveh Rastegar on bass and voice, and Jacqueline Acevedo on percussion and voice. She has been noted for a luminous vocal presence and a globally minded approach to jazz.

An in-person hangout from the AGAPE and KCSP teams offers a welcoming space for youth ages 5 to 17 who are adopted, have been in foster care, are in kinship care, live with someone other than a biological parent, or are in a guardianship arrangement. The group centers on connection, open conversation, and support around the issues that matter most to young people. Each gathering highlights a specific theme and often aligns with ideas explored in the companion parent and caregiver support group that meets at the same time and place. Topics may include identity development, the influence of social media, the importance of positive mental health support, and practical ways to manage tough emotions during stressful moments. Facilitators encourage teens to help shape how the time is used and what each hangout looks like, ensuring their voices guide the experience. Every meeting is led by the youth programming coordinator along with another adult who is competent in adoption, foster, kinship, and guardianship care. Angelo De Augustine appears at Levon Helm Studios in Woodstock, New York. With his fifth album, Angel in Plainclothes, he presents music shaped by a long path of healing and renewal. The record underscores his gift for melody and intimate storytelling, spanning the elegiac Empty Shell, the hopeful Spirit of the Unknown, and the psychedelic country shimmer of Mirror Mirror. Its themes consider fragility, second chances, and rebuilding after an undiagnosed illness led him to relearn everyday abilities. He crafted the album at his Southern California studio, A Secret Place, taking on writing, recording, arranging, producing, and mixing while also inviting collaborators for the first time in years. Contributions include string arrangements by Oliver Hill, harp from Leng Bian, and vocals and percussion by Wendy Fraser, with Thomas Bartlett and Jonathan Wilson joining forces on The Cure, which features Wilson on drums. The project carries a spirit of reassurance and resilience, shaped by encouragement from those close to him, and aims to offer listeners a sense that healing and small miracles can happen.

AJ Lee & Blue Summit came together as teens in Santa Cruz, jamming at local festivals before taking their music on the road. The quartet features AJ Lee on mandolin, Jan Purat on fiddle, Sullivan Tuttle on guitar, and Sean Newman on bass. Known for high energy, charm, and standout musicianship, they have gained national attention. Their third album, City Of Glass, arrived in 2024 on Signature Sounds. In 2025 they followed with the collaborative covers collection Cover to Cover V.1, welcoming guests Lindsay Lou, Trey Hensley, Ahn Phung, and Kyle Tuttle. The EP spans Gillian Welch’s Tear My Stillhouse Down, a California-nodding version of the New Riders of the Purple Sage’s Glendale Train, the early jazz tune Who Walks In (When I Walk Out), the country classic Takes One to Know One, and a closing take on I’m a Believer led by former member Scott Gates.
