Workshops & Classes

Stitch & Sip

Stitch & Sip returns to Star Cider with a beginner embroidery workshop. Learn a few simple stitches and turn a basic belt bag into a personalized piece. The lightweight bag helps you stay hands free at the playground, amusement parks, games, and more. Optional monogramming is available at no extra cost; indicate initials when purchasing tickets. If buying multiple tickets, include initials for everyone in your party and add them in the checkout notes. Each ticket includes a draft beverage, a belt bag, a macramé bag charm, and all embroidery materials to keep.

Health & Wellness

Tea & Sound Immersion

A tea sampling and sound healing immersion hosted by Turtle Island Homestead and Amazing Mind Body Soul Center. Haley and Saul share about their local regenerative farm while offering ceremonial tastings of four locally crafted organic herbal teas, paired with seasonally inspired gluten-free bites. Afterward, Hayley Godfrey leads a meditative sound experience intended to support reflection, integration, new growth, and heart-led awareness. The combination of herbal infusions and sound healing is presented as a pathway to greater mental, emotional, and physical clarity. Space is limited, and reservations can be made by calling 315-830-7201. The session cost is $30.

Music

Peace Jam

A participatory gathering centered on kirtan-inspired chanting, songs, and dances of universal peace. The emphasis is on sharing the experience rather than watching a performance, inviting everyone to lend their voice. Melodies and lyrics are simple and easy to learn, with a gentle, engaging feel. Singing is welcome, and participants may bring an unplugged instrument to play along.

Dancing

Tants-Hoyz: Yiddish Dance

Serving as the finale of CUKE's Klezathon, this Tants-Hoyz gathering centers on Yiddish folk dance with a one-hour lesson followed by a social dance. Yiddish dance leader Deborah Strauss teaches the workshop with musical backing from Pete Rushevsky, Jeff Warschauer, and some members of the Cornell University Klezmer Ensemble (CUKE). After the lesson, participants can put their new steps into practice at a dance party as Pete, Jeff, and CUKE perform klezmer and Yiddish dance tunes in a mix of slower and quicker tempos, with Deborah guiding the dancing.
