Give young space fans a quick summer escape with a weekly, family-friendly planetarium program that blends discovery and conversation. Each visit includes a brief tour of the current night sky, time to ask questions, and suggestions to keep exploring at home. This session features Asteroid: Mission Extreme, an immersive look at how asteroids can threaten Earth while also serving as potential stepping stones for deeper space travel. It underscores the scale of the challenge and how such missions could help protect life on our planet. Recommended for ages 4 to 10, with a 25 minute presentation followed by a Q&A. Buying tickets in advance is encouraged.

Grateful BRO brings a free outdoor concert for all ages to the Hudson Park Bandshell in New Rochelle, NY. Grounded in the spirit of the Grateful Dead, the band ventures far and wide with energized interpretations of music by the Allman Brothers, Steely Dan, The Band, The Who, the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Motown favorites, classic rock and psychedelia, along with original songs that evolve with the vibe of the crowd. Pack a lawn chair and a picnic, or pick up a bite from the food trucks. This outdoor performance is subject to weather. A longtime presence on the East Coast jam scene, Grateful BRO, also known as Blue Roadhouse Orchestra, has made numerous appearances at Garcia’s at The Capitol Theatre, including memorable opening sets for Jaimoe and Post Robert Hunter. Over the years, band members have shared stages with Trey Anastasio, John Fishman, Oteil Burbridge, Vernon Reid, Jimmy Vivino and Max Creek. The scheduled lineup features Cliff Mays on guitar and vocals, Mike Corn on keys and backing vocals, Jim Weingast on drums and backing vocals, Andy LaDue on drums, Jeff Reich on bass, and Mike Ernst on guitar. Presented with support from the New Rochelle Council on the Arts.
