VGMX's Yu-Gi-Oh! Genesys Weekly Event
VGMX hosts a weekly Yu-Gi-Oh! tournament that features the Genesys format. Entry is $5 and includes an OTS pack, pending availability. Events use a 100 point cap for deck construction. In Genesys play, Link and Pendulum Monsters are not permitted, and the original field layout is used without Extra Monster Zones or Pendulum Zones. The usual Forbidden and Limited list is not enforced, so those cards may be played except for Link and Pendulum Monsters, and the standard maximum of three copies per card remains in effect. Deck building follows a point system where some cards carry a value, and the combined total across Main, Extra, and Side Decks cannot exceed the cap. A Konami Card Game ID is required to compete and can be set up through the Yu-Gi-Oh! Neuron app. OTS packs are supplied by Konami and distributed to players while supplies last, and the store can confirm pack availability for specific tournaments.
Metaphysical Gemology Certification: A Fusion of Earth Science and Spiritual Mastery
Explore a certification that unites earth science with spiritual practice, led by Anne Margaret Carioti, Graduate Gemologist, C.Hyp. Through a blend of geology, mineral science, and energy work, participants examine how stones come into being, how their internal structures shape their energetic qualities, and how to engage with them intentionally for spiritual growth. This six-hour training welcomes healers, intuitives, collectors, and anyone interested in deepening a relationship with the mineral realm. The curriculum covers foundational geology, recognition of species and varieties with visual identification, practical uses of ten essential spiritual stones, chakra correspondences, the fundamentals of creating crystal grids, and hands-on guidance for working with forms such as points, spheres, pyramids, and wands. The fee is $225.
MOMCC CITYWIDE SPADES TOURNAMENT
Columbus spades players are heading to The Point on Main Street for the first ever MOMCC Citywide Spades Tournament, complete with a hype party to get the energy up before the cards hit the table. Entry is $25 per player or $50 per team, and the field is limited to the first 16 teams to secure a spot, with payment required to compete. Winners earn serious bragging rights and can take home the inaugural trophy, receive exclusive champion shirts, get featured, and even walk away with four times their buy-in. Matches are played with ace high, no jokers, and the deuce of spades low, using a best two out of three format to advance, with the final decided by the first team to reach 350 points. This tournament brings the city’s talkers and quiet strategists to the same tables, all while supporting summer youth safety. Sister Soldiers Saving Streets & Shaping Futures is part of the event’s call to action.
The Point on Main StreetNew Rider Meet Up Series
New to motorcycles or returning after time away? This meet up series welcomes prospective riders, recent beginners, and those getting back on the road. It offers a relaxed way to explore different riding styles, learn how to sign up for a class and obtain a license, and connect with other new or newer riders in Central Ohio. Each session blends topics rather than concentrating on just one, and participants can bring questions. No experience is required. It is free and open to all interest and experience levels, including complete beginners and riders who are new to the area. A group ride for new riders may be added. If attending is not possible, much of the same information is available on a blog, and there are also community meet ups such as Kickstands & Coffee and Cider & Donut.
