Deck Factory's Chaos Rising

Pokémon trainers can compete in the Chaos Rising Win-A-Box tournament at Deck Factory. The event uses the Standard format with a $20 entry fee and requires at least eight players to launch. Swiss pairings will be used, and the number of rounds will be determined by attendance. Promo packs will be handed out during the event. A booster box is on the line, and the prize pool grows with turnout. With 12 players an Elite Trainer Box is added, and with 16 players a Booster Bundle is added. Arrive early to register and be ready for round one, whether you are piloting a new meta list or a longtime favorite.

Varsity Competition Camp

Designed for high school teams eager for local competition, this camp centers on head-to-head play among schools in the area. Each team is guaranteed four contests, with three decided in two sets and one using a best of three format. The cost is $200.

US Baseball Academy-Camp

Young players can build their skills at a day camp on the Shawnee High School Varsity Baseball Field for ages 7 to 14. The program offers baseball instruction each day and supervision during camp hours. Each camper receives a T-shirt from U.S. Baseball Academy along with a certificate of completion. Lunch is not included, so participants should bring a packed meal each day. The fee is $299.

Day Camp – Super Survivors

Children ages 7 to 9 can explore how animals survive in the wild during a two-day camp focused on adaptations. With a mix of instruction and activities, participants will look at different types of adaptations and how they help a variety of animals. Please dress for the weather and bring any needed bug spray or sunscreen, along with water and a packed lunch. Meet at the West Shelter. Registration is required and includes a non-refundable $10 fee.

Juneteenth Lima, LLC is a nonprofit devoted to honoring African American history, celebrating cultural heritage, and strengthening community connections across Allen County and the broader Lima area. As the first official Juneteenth organization in the county, it is recognized for producing a genuine, welcoming, and meaningful annual celebration. Set in Downtown Lima, this single-day festival celebrates African American achievement and the diversity of the Lima and Allen County community. At Camp Woodhaven in Lima, an animal-themed event welcomes girls who are currently in kindergarten or preparing to start. The experience features a live virtual connection with the Smithsonian National Zoo, opportunities to see animals up close, a camp tour with outdoor exploration, and an introduction to Girl Scout Daisies. Along the way, participants pick up fun animal facts, make new friends, explore nature, and celebrate kindness and courage, with a high-energy animal dance party adding plenty of movement.

Gears & Cheers 2026

Gears & Cheers is a kid-focused cycling event that encourages children of every ability to ride with purpose. From little ones in strollers to new riders and experienced neighborhood cyclists, participants follow a safe, age-appropriate course and aim to complete as many laps as possible. Families gather per-lap pledges or flat donations, and 100 percent of funds raised support Pelotonia Kids and pediatric cancer research at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Children register, ride laps on a designated track, and see their effort translate into funding for research. Hosted by Gears & Beers, a local peloton that rides in Pelotonia to raise money for cancer research, this event returns for a second year.

June Prospect Camp

This summer prospect camp is for high school players to experience training and life at Bluffton University. The coaching staff will run the training sessions while current players help with evaluation. Attendees can meet current players through a player panel to learn about life at Bluffton. It is open to grades 9-12. Campers will receive a t-shirt.

Lima Sabres Shooting Association

3-Gun (300 & (BB)

Participate in a 3-Gun match where youll use a rifle, shotgun, and pistol across multiple stages. This practical shooting competition will challenge intermediate shooters due to the firearm transitions and varying target distances. The stages involve engaging steel and paper targets in sequences that demand both speed and accuracy. Lima Sabres Shooting Association will create scenarios that test your ability to switch platforms quickly and maintain composure while moving between rifle, shotgun, and pistol within the same stage.

Each participant receives a Pokémon Pitch Black Build & Battle Kit, a ready-to-play 40-card deck, and four additional Pitch Black booster packs to enhance their build. There is no need to bring a deck, because everything needed to play is provided. Players will have 20 minutes for deck construction before matches begin, followed by three to four rounds of Swiss play based on attendance. Members Meeting and Public Stargaze

The Lima Astronomical Society hosts its monthly members meeting, followed by a program and public stargazing when weather allows. The meeting usually lasts about an hour or less before transitioning to the program. Visitors are asked to sign the guest log upon arrival. Both the meeting and program are open to the public, welcoming anyone curious about astronomy or interested in the Society. If skies are clear, public observing at Schoonover Observatory includes views through the dome telescope and time on the upper deck to learn constellations, look for planets, and watch for satellites. No experience is required, and observers of all levels are welcome. Attendees may bring their own telescope for assistance, and the gathering offers an opportunity to learn more about the organization.

Dakota Mathias Basketball Camp 2026 - ELIDA

Now in its ninth year, the Dakota Mathias Basketball Camp centers on fun and fundamentals while helping players build all-around skills. Campers spend each day in a mix of instruction, drills, and games that cover dribbling, passing, shooting, defense, guard work, and post play. The coaching team features Dakota Mathias alongside current professional athletes and current and former college players, bringing experience that spans the NBA, high-level international competition, and Division I programs. Anti-Violence Teen Summer Retreat

The third annual Anti-Violence Teen Summer Retreat focuses on restorative justice within the community, creating a supportive space for local teens to build relationships, strengthen leadership skills, and practice self and peer advocacy. Try your hand at a victory garden activity that explains how households raised their own nutrient-rich produce and shares tips for beginning a backyard plot. Community Drum Circle: Take One Leave One

A family-friendly drum circle at Ottawa Metro Park welcomes everyone to create music together through spontaneous rhythms. Attendees can bring a drum or any instrument, and shared rhythm instruments will be available for those who need one. This month features a take one, leave one exchange table for items like home decor, nonperishable food or drinks, plants, and gently used clothing or blankets, where participants can pick up what is useful and contribute what they no longer need. An additional table will be set up for optional snacks, drinks, and other non-alcoholic refreshments to share. The gathering centers on open, creative expression in a welcoming, supportive setting.
