As part of a nationwide series hosted in hundreds of communities each year, it stands as the largest fundraising event supporting Alzheimer’s care, support, and research, and it welcomes people of every age and ability to take part. Since 1989, the Alzheimer’s Association has rallied millions through the Memory Walk, and that legacy continues today through the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. There is no fee to register, and participants are encouraged to raise vital funds that help provide around-the-clock services and drive progress toward prevention, treatment, and ultimately a cure. Many form teams, spread the word with guidance and tips provided by the organization, and then come together on walk day to celebrate a shared commitment to ending the disease.
