Spearhead focuses on tense and tactical small-scale battles in Age of Sigmar, presented as a monthly league with regular opportunities to play. At the end of the month, the player with the highest total is recognized on the Wall of Honor. Traveling Tournament - Vernonia vs. Killarney 2026

A traveling golf showdown brings Vernonia and Killarney West together for a friendly, competitive weekend. Teams of two play a 36-hole scramble, with 18 two-player teams representing each course. Players choose which side to represent, then begin with a shotgun start after check-in, a group photo, and the walk to assigned starting holes. Entry is $100 per person. Prizes include $500 cash for first place, plus awards for second and third, along with KP and long drive honors. Candi’s Kitchen will be on site at both locations with food available for purchase, and meals are not included with the pass. The tournament will take place regardless of weather. Ages 4 and up are welcome. Only paid players may be on the course during tournament play, and walkalongs are not permitted. Hosted by Forest Grove Parks & Recreation, the Dash Paddle Bash Pickleball Tournament marks the department’s first pickleball competition. This community focused mixed doubles event raises funds for the Fun For All Fund, Forest Grove Parks & Recreation’s financial assistance program. Matches take place at Rogers Park with divisions arranged by age group and skill level, and prizes are awarded to the top three teams in each bracket. The entry fee is $45 per mixed doubles team. Families can spend time at Anna & Abby’s Yard playground and visit a nearby Kid Zone led by Recreation staff offering light crafts and activities. DJ Anjali and The Incredible Kid bring a Holi Summer Fest to McMenamins Grand Lodge, transforming the grass into a Bollywood and Bhangra dance party with Anjali’s Gulabi Gang dance troupe and the PDX Bhangra troupe. Expect joyful color play with multiple coordinated throws throughout the event. The festival features plant-based powders sourced from India, made by farmers and tribal communities using flowers, seeds, and vegetables such as rose, spinach, marigold, and turmeric. Each paid ticket includes one packet of color, and a portion of the proceeds supports farmers in India. No outside colors are permitted. This is an all-ages gathering, and wearing white or clothes that can get messy is recommended.

Tuesday Night Fall League 2026

Gear up for an eight-week fall league featuring a friendly two-person scramble format. Each twosome faces a new matchup every week, and play begins with a shotgun start. Weekly cash opportunities are built in through side games, with all players automatically entered into Payball for net and gross scores as well as KP. KP carries no extra weekly cost, and KP winners receive a $10 credit to use in the pro shop. Scoring is straightforward and competitive. Teams earn one point for each hole won, three points for winning overall net strokes, plus a bonus point for weekly attendance, for a maximum of 13 points per week. The final week is a position round, pairing 1st vs 2nd, 3rd vs 4th, and so on. The points leader at the end is crowned champion, and places 1 through 4 receive cash prizes. The one-time league registration fee is $25 per person. Weekly participation is $20, which covers green fees and all side games. Players of every experience level are welcome.

Television appearances followed on Late Night with Seth Meyers, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’s #LateShowMeMusic series, and Later... with Jools Holland, along with a feature on CBS Saturday Morning. He has since issued a deluxe edition featuring a widely streamed rendition of Stand By Me, completed a sold out U.S. run of the søn of dad tour, and supported HARDY on select dates including a finale at Madison Square Garden, with festival stops at Newport Folk Festival, Glastonbury, Cavendish Beach Music Festival, Boots and Hearts, and Whiskey Moon. Fall Fluorescents Glow Ball Tournament 2026

This glow ball tournament features a four-person, nine-hole scramble with a shotgun start. The cost is $40 per person or $160 per foursome. Each group receives five glow balls with registration provided by Killarney West, and additional balls can be purchased at the clubhouse or from the beverage cart for $10 each. A group photo is planned on the 4th tee before everyone walks to their starting holes. Prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third place, plus KP winners on holes 3 and 7. Glow-themed attire is encouraged. Food details are to be announced. Motorized carts are not permitted during night play. The tournament takes place rain or shine. Passes are nonrefundable if canceled within one week of the event, although a refund will be issued if a waitlisted participant fills the spot. Open to ages 4 and up. Run For Mercy

Hosted by Old Town Forest Grove, the Run for Mercy is a welcoming run and walk for families and participants of all levels, created to bring the Forest Grove community together in support of neighbors facing crisis. All proceeds from the event support the Mercy Program, which provides urgent financial assistance for individuals and families through help with rent, electricity, and other essential bills during hard times. Participants may run or walk at any pace, turning miles into direct support for the community.

Kanekoa showcases a dynamic Hawaiian live music experience that mixes roots influences with reggae, blues, funk, and island grooves. Grounded in Hawai‘i’s culture and landscape, the band moves from traditional Hawaiian songs to 80s pop and jam-inflected blues, all driven by the expansive possibilities of the amplified Hawaiian ukulele. Bill Kreutzmann of the Grateful Dead has likened them to a Hawaiian counterpart of that band, and their sound has drawn notice from artists such as Mick Fleetwood and Los Lobos. An early bird ticket discount of $5 off is available.

Forest Grove Lions Run/Walk for Sight and Hearing

This annual run and walk features 5k and 10k distances and supports sight and hearing in the community. All net proceeds help provide eyeglasses, hearing aids, and scholarships for Audiology and Optometry students. Early bird discounts are offered ahead of the event at $30 for the 5k and $35 for the 10k. Standard online registration is $35 for the 5k and $40 for the 10k, with reduced pricing available for students until registration closes and no online transaction fee. Register by the stated deadlines to receive a commemorative long sleeve racer mesh T-shirt and a personalized chipped bib, with T-shirts guaranteed only for those who meet the guarantee cutoff. Pre-race packet pick-up is available so participants can collect shirts and other race essentials. Courses are clearly marked with mile and kilometer signage, and volunteers will guide participants at intersections. The 10k follows the 5k route twice. There are no restrooms on the course. Water and restrooms are available after the finish. Police from Forest Grove will be present to manage traffic. In an emergency, call 911. Category winners will be announced on the website. During registration, participants may make an additional donation to support local sight improvement programs. Those who prefer not to run or walk can contribute by check, and event staff will also be collecting used eyeglasses and hearing aids for the Lions sight and hearing foundation.

Bogeys + Bones Halloween Night Golf Tournament - Friday 2026

Celebrate spooky season on the fairways at the 6th annual Bogeys + Bones Night Golf Tournament, a 9 hole, 4 person scramble that begins with a shotgun start. Entry is $45 per player or $180 per team, and food details will be announced. Check in at the clubhouse as a team or have one player handle it, then pick up a team bag with glow golf balls for each golfer plus a spare, your starting hole assignment, a scorecard, glow bracelets, and other small goodies. The LED balls turn on with the light from a phone or flashlight and switch off the same way. If a ball is lost, extras are available for purchase on the beverage cart or in the clubhouse. This is a walking event, and a beverage cart will be stationed at the 6th tee box. Costumes are encouraged and voted on by participants, with prizes for Scariest, Funniest, Favorite Group Costume, and Golfer’s Choice. Tournament awards include a trophy for first place and prizes for second and third, plus honors for KPs, Long Putt, and Longest Drive. A group photo is planned before play begins, and winners are announced after all teams finish. Look for playful course twists such as a pet graveyard on the green of hole 2 and a pumpkin patch on hole 8, KP challenges on holes 3 and 7, a long drive on hole 5, special gloves off the tee on hole 4, and pumpkin chipping at the clubhouse that can knock strokes off your score. Teams select the best shot after each stroke and everyone plays from that spot within one club length no closer to the hole. It is a shotgun format with two teams on each hole, labeled A and B, with Team A teeing off first. The field features 18 teams of four. Only registered players are allowed on the course. The tournament is rain or shine. Outside alcohol is not permitted and any alcoholic beverages must be purchased from the course, while nonalcoholic drinks and snacks may be brought. Passes are sold online only. Cancellations in the final week are nonrefundable, and a refund is issued if the spot can be filled from the waitlist.

Glow balls activate with light from a phone or flashlight and can be turned on and off the same way. Each team receives one ball per player plus a spare, and additional balls are available for $10 from the beverage cart or the clubhouse. The course adds Halloween flair with playful twists, including a pet graveyard and a pumpkin patch on two greens that require putting around obstacles. Designated holes offer closest to the pin and long drive challenges, and one tee shot features special gloves. At the clubhouse, pumpkin chipping gives players a chance to sink a ball into a pumpkin to subtract strokes. Prizes go to the top three teams, with a trophy for first place, along with awards for closest to the pin, long putt, and longest drive. Costumes are encouraged, with voting to determine winners in categories such as scariest, funniest, favorite group, and golfer’s choice. Votes are collected at the clubhouse and winners are announced after play. Event guidelines include walking only, no carts, and only registered players on the course.
