Social Superheroes: Friendship & Feelings Camp

Aaron’s Corner presents a sensory-friendly summer camp that helps children build friendship skills, communication, emotional awareness, and kindness through guided play, small group projects, and supportive coaching. Separate groups are offered for K–2 and 3rd–5th grade students, with intentionally small session sizes of up to six campers for the younger group and up to eight for the older group to support comfort and individual attention. Campers practice how to join in, take turns, share ideas, and form positive peer connections. They learn to name feelings, notice body cues, and use calming tools. Team challenges strengthen cooperation, listening, problem solving, and flexible thinking, while activities centered on empathy and inclusion emphasize being a caring and supportive friend. All abilities are welcome, and no prior experience is needed. This camp is a fit for children who benefit from extra support with social connection, communication, emotional regulation, or confidence. Families are encouraged to send a water bottle, comfortable clothing for movement, any helpful sensory or comfort items, and a snack if needed. First-time participants complete a brief intake meeting and form, along with a one-time intake fee. Pricing is $100 for the K–2 program for the week and $125 for the 3rd–5th program for the week. The experience offers a relaxed setting where kids can connect with peers, make sense of big feelings, and strengthen everyday social skills.

LEGO Builders Club: STEM Teamwork Camp

Children dive into STEM by tackling hands-on LEGO projects that spark curiosity and teamwork. In a supportive setting they design structures and mechanisms, put them to the test, make improvements, and discover how communication and flexible thinking help ideas grow. Guided projects and group missions highlight both engineering and collaboration. Campers build towers, bridges, ramps, mazes, vehicles, and original inventions, then work together to troubleshoot by exploring balance, structure, patterns, and cause and effect. Mistakes are treated as part of learning, so kids build, test, refine, and celebrate progress. The camp is organized in separate groups for K–2nd and 3rd–5th graders, with small session sizes of up to six for the younger group and up to eight for the older. All abilities are welcome and no prior LEGO or STEM experience is required, making it a good fit for kids who enjoy creating, problem solving, hands-on learning, or who benefit from supported teamwork and clear structure. Held at Aaron’s Corner LLC in Newberg, participants should bring a water bottle, comfortable clothes for movement, any helpful sensory or comfort item, and a snack if needed. New families are asked to complete an intake form before attending. First-time campers also take part in a brief intake meeting and pay a one-time $50 intake fee for the 2026 camp season. The weekly rate is $100 for K–2 and $125 for 3–5.
