Imaginative storytelling and discovery stations with varied textures encourage kids to follow their curiosity while staying supported and safe. Small groups are organized by grade level, with options for K–2 and 3rd–5th graders. Participation is intentionally limited to keep the experience focused and engaging, with a maximum of 6 campers in K–2 sessions and 8 in 3rd–5th sessions. All abilities are welcome, and the camp is a good fit for children who enjoy dinosaurs, movement, sensory play, digging, and hands-on learning in a calm, supportive environment. Campers should bring a water bottle, comfortable clothing suitable for movement and a bit of mess, any helpful sensory or comfort items, and a snack if needed. First-time participants complete a brief intake meeting and form, and there is a one-time $50 intake fee for new campers. Pricing is $100 per week for K–2 and $125 per week for 3rd–5th. Throughout the experience, campers practice asking questions, making observations, and sharing what they find, building curiosity and confidence along the way. Groups are organized for K to 2nd and for 3rd to 5th graders, and all abilities are welcome. No prior science background is needed, making it a good fit for children who enjoy ocean animals, water play, sensory exploration, experiments, movement, and hands-on discovery. The annual golf tournament that anchors Walk in the Park’s fundraising efforts takes place at Michelbook Country Club and is planned for the cooler hours of the morning. The competition uses a four-person scramble format in which everyone tees off, the team chooses the preferred ball, then each player hits the next shot from that spot within one club length without moving closer to the hole, and every player’s tee shot must be used twice during the round. Teams can register together or individuals can sign up separately and be grouped with their teammates. Individual entry is $150 and a four-player team is $600. Mini Makers is a warm, hands-on camp where children wrap up the season by imagining ideas, building with kid-friendly materials, and unveiling their own inventions. Participants explore creative STEM while growing problem-solving skills, imagination, and confidence through making. Guided projects blend with open-ended challenges so campers can plan, create, test, refine, and share their results. Highlights include maker-style builds, brainstorming and iteration, and playful investigations of structure, movement, balance, patterns, cause and effect, and design. A final showcase gives campers a chance to display their work and celebrate their effort. Sessions are organized for K to 2nd grade and for 3rd to 5th grade. All abilities are welcome, and it is a good fit for kids who enjoy creating, designing, building, experimenting, crafting, inventing, or learning by doing in a calm and supportive setting. Group sizes are intentionally small, with K to 2nd limited to 6 campers and 3rd to 5th limited to 8. Please send a water bottle, comfortable clothes for active, hands-on activities, clothing that can handle a bit of mess, any helpful sensory or comfort item, and a snack if needed. First-time campers complete a brief intake meeting and form, with a one-time $50 intake fee for the camp season. Pricing is $100 per week for K to 2nd and $125 per week for 3rd to 5th.
