Half Covered Halloween Part 11: Halloween Havoc '96

    Pittsburgh · 222 Ormsby, 222 Ormsby Ave

Half Covered Halloween returns for its eleventh edition with a Halloween Havoc 1996 theme, celebrating the local scene with sets split between original material and songs that came out in 1996. The indoor HOGAN Stage serves as the main room, while the MACHO Stage hosts Anything Goes Acoustic moments on the porch and can move inside if it rains, with June guiding those interludes. The lineup features homages to the era, including Pioneer Spirit drawing from H2O’s self-titled release, City Escape Artist nodding to the Queers’ Don’t Back Down, The Book Club channeling Reel Big Fish’s Turn the Radio Off, The Slobberknockers saluting Less Than Jake’s Losing Streak, and The Filthy Lowdown taking on Rage Against the Machine’s Evil Empire. This is an all ages event, costumes are encouraged with a 1996 twist inspired by music, movies, cartoons, and pop culture, and artwork is by Cretin Face Design.
