Lorraine is rebuilding after leaving an abusive marriage, with her former high school sweetheart now in prison. Valerie, a devoted nurse, is struggling with burnout and questioning the life she has worked so hard to build. Dixie is ready to put everything on the line for a shot at fame. A persuasive yet calculating talent agent convinces them to join forces, and they take the stage together as the Blue Ribbon Belles, touring fairs across the country. On the road, friendships face trials, dreams are tested, and each woman must decide what she is willing to risk for something more. The musical features soulful songs and lively choreography as the trio chases its big break. American Legion hosts a performance by the Mack Berry Band, a Western Maryland group formed in 2023. Known across the Mid-Atlantic for an energetic stage presence, they have played everything from small rooms to festivals and country fairs. Their sound blends country rock roots with modern storytelling. Fresh back from Nashville after recording a second EP, they continue to draw a rapidly expanding following.

A happy hour at The Broad Axe features live music from pianist Sam Jannotta with Anita Thomas on saxophone and clarinet, along with drink specials of one dollar off draft beer, wine by the glass, and rail drinks.

Open mic night at Pockets Gaming and Billiard Lounge features a band ready to accompany guest performers. Singers and instrumentalists can perform and sit in with the band.

At The Maryland Theatre, the Doo Wah Riders bring an electrified brand of country spiked with a Cajun twist. With more than 40 years together, the band is known for precision playing and dynamic arrangements that span beloved standards, newer favorites, and original material. Expect revved up renditions of Boys Are Back in Town, Orange Blossom Special, Texas With a Swing, and more, delivered with the tight ensemble sound that has earned them devoted audiences.

Karaoke takes the spotlight at The MARQ during a recurring night with rotating hosts. Main Event Karaoke leads one week, then Clayton takes over the next, alternating on a repeating schedule.

The Broad Axe hosts an open mic and jam night led by house drummer Dave Bernet. Singer songwriters, bands, and jammers are welcome to take the stage and collaborate. A full backline is provided, including a complete drum kit and a stage keyboard, so performers can plug in and play with ease. Signups take place on site before the music begins, followed by performances and open jamming.

Hardcore punk trailblazers Black Flag return with renewed energy and a refreshed lineup. Now based in Texas, the band welcomes three additions, with Max Zanelly on vocals, David Rodriguez on bass, and Bryce Weston on drums, joining the band’s founder and guitarist, Greg Ginn. Writing and rehearsals are underway as they blend their signature sound with fresh ideas from the newcomers. This performance highlights the revitalized chemistry and offers an early glimpse of the next chapter as they gear up for more shows and new recordings.

Magical Mystery Girls bring the Beatles songbook to the Live At Hub City Vinyl stage, delivering faithful arrangements across the band’s entire catalog with the added color of live woodwinds. Formed in 2017 as a collective of female performers from the Baltimore and Washington area, the group features skilled multi-instrumentalists and vocalists who present note for note renditions, including songs that are seldom heard live. They have performed the Sgt. Pepper and Abbey Road albums from start to finish without using samples or pre-recorded tracks. Highlights include becoming the first all-female band to appear at the Fest for Beatles Fans in New York in 2022, returning as the main stage openers, and appearances at the Warner Theater in Washington, DC, as well as the Iridium and the Cutting Room in New York City. The lineup features Linda Cote on bass and vocals, Esmirelda on rhythm guitar, vocals, percussion and distinctive sound effects, Kimberly Spath on lead guitar, vocals and piano, Erika Johnson on drums, vocals and percussion, Charlene McDaniel on keyboards, woodwinds, vocals, harmonica and percussion, and Katie Ravenwood on keyboards, woodwinds, vocals and percussion.
