Connect with fellow makers at a relaxed beading and community circle that gathers on the third Sunday of each month. Sunlit Yoga Sunday

Hosted by Aqua Om Paddle in partnership with Berks Nature, this beginner-welcoming yoga series offers a calm practice at The Nature Place, surrounded by the sounds and scenery of nature. Guidance is provided by Kami Kiritsis, owner of Aqua Om Paddle, with a focus on reconnecting with yourself and the environment. Classes take place outside regardless of conditions, with a covered space available if the weather is unfavorable. Bring a yoga mat and, if you wish, a blanket for a restful savasana. You can register online or pay in cash upon arrival.

Intro to Samskritam and Devanagari Level 1A - JUNE 2026

Explore a welcoming introduction to Samskritam and the Devanagari script in a Level 1A course at the Kula Kamala Foundation & Yoga Ashram. Designed for complete beginners, this four week module covers the varna mala, clear pronunciation, basic grammar, special characters, and how to write individual letters and connect them. It is a supportive option for anyone who wants confidence pronouncing asana names and mantras. The class is offered both in person and live via Zoom, and recordings are not provided. Participation is by donation, with a suggested contribution of $10 per student per class or $40 for the full four week module. Students are asked to complete all four weeks of one module before moving to the next level, and additional levels will be available later in the year. Sessions take place in the Saraswati Mandir. Advance registration is preferred, and each attendee needs an individual registration. S'WET Aqua Fitness delivers a vigorous, total-body workout in the water at the Wyomissing Pool. The class blends core principles of aquatic training with resistance work to create a challenging yet safe session that emphasizes proper technique. It is welcoming to a broad range of ages and fitness levels, with intensity scaled to each participant. Expect intervals, cardio, strength moves, and plyometric drills adapted for the pool, offering low impact with high-intensity results. Sessions are led by Sherri Freifelder, a licensed Zumba Specialty Instructor and AEA Certified Aquatic Fitness Professional with extensive wellness experience. This outdoor class is weather dependent. Each session costs $11, payable in cash at the front desk. Wear a bathing suit, water shoes are highly recommended, and bring a water bottle. Sensory Friendly Library Time

Step-By-Step Special Instructor Miss Liz collaborates with the Children’s Librarian, Miss Daniella, and helpful staff to guide hands-on, sensory-based play. Children can engage with soft plush toys and other interactive activities that encourage learning and growth in a calm, inviting space. Fossil Exploration

Explore fossils up close in an interactive program led by a museum educator, then create your own trace fossil craft. Capacity is limited, and materials are available only while supplies last. Move Together Dance Class for Kids

This inclusive movement class welcomes children ages 5 to 10 to explore the fundamentals of dance while trying a variety of styles in a friendly, supportive setting. Two former dancers who are now speech-language pathologists lead each session with an emphasis on building confidence, encouraging self-expression, and making dance accessible to every child. Caregivers are encouraged to stay, observe, and assist if a child needs extra help following directions. Registration is required, and the cost is $40 for the series. At GoggleWorks Center for the Arts in Reading, a weekly farmers market brings together local growers, makers, and families for fresh produce and community activities. Summer Concert Series

Perfect Strangers brings live music to Jim Dietrich Park as part of Muhlenberg Township’s summer concert series. The stage is set on the lawn in front of the historic farmhouse by the river, creating a relaxed setting for an evening of music and community. Guests can bring lawn chairs and blankets for comfortable seating under the open sky. The performance includes a brief intermission. A drink truck serves adult beverages, including local beers and mixed drinks, and outside alcohol is not permitted. Rotating food vendors are on site, and local Boy and Girl Scouts offer desserts to support their programs. If the weather does not cooperate, concerts may be postponed or canceled.

Part of a four-film series celebrating BCTV’s 50th anniversary, this screening spotlights the role of community and public media, public access, and local journalism from fresh angles. Recorder: The Marion Stokes Project, directed by Matt Wolf, follows activist and archivist Marion Stokes, who captured television news for more than three decades and built a collection of roughly 70,000 tapes. The documentary explores how her unwavering mission to preserve a continuous broadcast record informs our understanding of truth, where dedication can verge on obsession. The series is presented at the Boscov Theater inside the GoggleWorks Center for the Arts, and tickets are $10.

FLOAT

Settle into a 75-minute class led by Swaminiji that blends gentle movement with deep relaxation through sound healing using gongs and brass bowls. Summer Concert Series Stephanie Grace

Hailing from Douglassville, Pennsylvania, she blends country and pop with a touch of rock and roll edge, and her single “Not To” highlights the storytelling and personality at the heart of her sound. Expect a high-energy, finely honed performance suited to a summer night. The concert is free and open to everyone. Guests can bring lawn chairs, blankets, family and friends, and even dancing shoes. Intro to Samskritam and Devanagari Level 1A - JUNE 2026

Kula Kamala Foundation & Yoga Ashram presents a beginner-friendly introduction to Samskritam and the Devanagari script. This four-week module is designed for those with no prior experience and covers the varna mala, clear pronunciation, basic grammar, special characters, and how to write individual letters and link them together. It is well suited for anyone aiming to pronounce pose names like adho mukha svanasana and common mantras with confidence. The course is offered in person and live via Zoom, and recordings are not available. Sessions take place in the Saraswati Mandir. Additional levels will be offered later in the year, and participants must complete all four sessions in a module before advancing. The program is offered by donation, with a suggested contribution of $10 per student per class or $40 for the complete series. Advance registration is preferred through the organization’s website or mobile app, and each attendee needs an individual registration. On arrival, parking is available in the semi-circle in front of the ashram, with additional spaces behind the building and in the side lot by the gardens. Entry is through the front doors only. Experience a quiet, all-levels yin yoga class at Kula Kamala Foundation & Yoga Ashram.
