Celebrate the close of Earth Month at McDade Park with music, storytelling, and plenty of pizza. Connect with new people, learn about the local Sierra Club Group, and enjoy music from around the country as the spring cleanup season winds down. The gathering features Sierra Sessions, a streamed Earth Day concert created by the Sierra Club that is in its first year and highlights singer songwriters. Artists present 2 to 4 song sets, sharing the inspirations behind their music along with reflections on nature and life on Earth. Sierra Sessions aims to do more than entertain, serving as a call to action for the environmental movement and reimagining music’s role in the effort for a livable planet. It seeks to inspire a creative and cultural response to the climate and extinction crises, one song at a time. Food will be provided, including pizza and snacks. Please share any dietary restrictions or food allergies in advance so accommodations can be made. Additional details will be shared with registered participants.
