Families Healing Together provides a compassionate space for children, teens, and adults who are grieving the death of a family member or friend from any circumstance. Participants include those coping with losses due to illness, accidents, overdose, and suicide. This social connection and educational group meets at Drew’s Hope Grief Center in Shippensburg for conversation, support, and guidance. Because sessions may be canceled in the event of weather, illness, or an emergency, advance registration is requested by contacting the DMTF.

The event at Middle Spring Presbyterian Church brings together a family-focused festival and a car show. Look for a wide display of vehicles with on-site registration and awards, plus plenty to enjoy off the lot, including food, baked goods, ice cream, a variety of vendors, and rides on horseback.

The Disability Resource Fair takes place at St. Paul United Methodist Church and brings together local vendors, organizations, and service providers focused on physical disabilities, mental health and behavioral needs, intellectual and developmental disabilities, medical or nursing care needs, and autism spectrum disorder. Participants can bring their decks, trade cards, and pick up new strategies in a friendly setting. Staff are available to help newcomers learn the rules and to pair up players looking for opponents. There is no entry fee, and the format focuses on open play and having fun.

Designed for small homeschool groups and families, this farm day blends hands-on learning about pumpkins and popcorn with plenty of outdoor fun. Ride a hay wagon to the pumpkin patch to pick a pumpkin while Farmer Chris explains how they grow. Spend time on attractions such as the corn box, hill slide, pumpkin bowling, bubble bins, and the corn maze, with more activities available. A snack of homemade kettle corn and apple cider or water is included, and participants can bring a bagged lunch to enjoy at the farm. Admission is $10 per person, with children ages 2 and under admitted free. Everyone older than 2 needs a ticket, and tickets are required since none are sold at the gate. Stations can be completed at your own pace, and the event is available on two dates this season. The Barrel Factory will be open with slushies, drinks, and kettle corn for an additional cost. Extra pumpkins can be purchased for $0.50 per pound, capped at $14.
