FUTSOUL offers free open field and open gym soccer time, creating a relaxed space for kids to kick the ball around, stay active, and make new friends during summer break. Participants of all ages are welcome. A parent-signed waiver is required for field access. For more information, call 401-578-1407.

The Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council offers free community paddles on the Woonasquatucket River, providing a welcoming introduction to kayaking and canoeing in the heart of Providence. Guided by the WRWC Paddle Team, each outing lasts about 15 to 20 minutes and is well suited for beginners, families, and anyone hoping to gain confidence before trying longer river trips later in the season. Paddlers of any experience level are welcome. WRWC supplies canoes, kayaks, paddles, and life jackets, and everyone must wear a PFD. Children can participate when accompanied by an adult. Participants who bring their own boat must also wear a PFD and complete a waiver. Spanish language support will be available on site. Activities take place at the Kinsley Avenue Boat Launch in Providence with support from AARP Rhode Island. Registration is encouraged but not required. Porta potties and handwashing stations will be available.

This 250th celebration of America highlights lively musical entertainment that sets a festive, high-energy tone. Musical performers will provide an upbeat soundtrack for a party-style gathering that honors this national milestone.
Rhodes on the PawtuxetCruise Night - June 24
The season opens with a car show at The Parlor Creamery. Participation is free, and cars of any make or model are invited. Attendees are welcome to bring their own chairs and, if they wish, their vehicles to display. Wein-o-rama will be on site serving weenies along with burgers and fries.
