    Elizabethton Farmers Market

    1205 W G St, Elizabethton · verified Aug 30
    Free

This weekly market is run by local farmers and focuses on delivering exclusively locally raised foods and goods. All purchases are made directly from producers in and around Carter County, Tennessee, with priority given to farms that follow natural, chemical-free practices. Shoppers can explore pasture-raised meats including beef, pork, lamb, and goat, along with pasture-raised chicken. Seasonal harvests range from greens, vegetables, fruits, and berries to microgreens and mushrooms. Dairy selections feature raw cow’s milk, yogurt, and butter, with goat cheese available too. There are also local honey, spice blends, herbs, sauces, jams and jellies, sourdough bread, freshly roasted coffee beans, and an assortment of baked desserts, snacks, and treats. Additional finds include eggs from pasture-raised hens, handmade pet treats, fresh-cut flower bouquets, live plants, natural skin care and household items, and artisan creations such as woodworking and pottery. The market features live music and food trucks. Families will find a fenced playground area for children, and amenities include restrooms, ADA-accessible parking, and pavilions. Multiple vendors accept SNAP/EBT. A no-cost produce program called Farmacy Fit invites people of any age to take a walk or try a light chair exercise to earn tokens that can be spent on produce. This program is open to everyone and is not limited to SNAP/EBT users. For more information, visit the information booth.
