Self-Love Summer Experience – June Session

Hosted by Love, Rae Grace, this small-group camp welcomes kids ages 7 to 12 for a week centered on self-care, style, movement, and creative expression. Each day begins with a mini spa moment using jade rollers and eye patches, then shifts into hands-on projects. Campers decorate jewelry boxes, design totes, create affirmation stones, and build a charm necklace with new additions added over the course of the week. They can add a touch of sparkle with hair tinsel, take part in a styled fashion show with a photo shoot, and enjoy a yoga or wellness session. Dance breaks and outdoor movement keep the energy high, while reflection and affirmation journaling and supportive group conversations nurture confidence and a positive mindset. A “dirty soda” bar and other treats round out the experience. Participants take home everything they make, along with a self-care tote of goodies and the charm necklace they have been building. The camp is led by Melissa Miller, the boutique’s founder and camp director, a CPR-certified mother of five. Teen helpers assist with crafts and camper support, and a store team member manages check-in and pickup. All activities are fully supervised and planned with safety, creativity, and healthy self-expression in mind. Tuition is $275, sibling rates are available upon request, and enrollment is limited to 15 campers.

Set at the Fly Park Softball Complex in Franklin, Tennessee, this summer showcase brings together 12u, 14u, 16u, and 18u teams for extended-time showcase games and a competitive single elimination bracket. Each team is scheduled for three pool games followed by bracket play, with a four-game minimum, weather permitting. The 12U Futures Division returns, and the field is intentionally limited to help maximize exposure. Previous editions have sold out quickly and drawn teams from across the country. Each participant completes five unique pieces on 9 by 12 inch canvas boards, with new subjects introduced compared to prior years. Some sessions also explore the signature wet on wet oil method made famous on The Joy of Painting. In each class, students finish an oil painting while practicing individual elements that come together as the classic mountain vistas. The final moments are set aside to ensure no one misses a picture. Attendance is limited per session to keep the experience personal. All guests need a ticket, and children under 12 months may attend at no cost with a paid adult or child ticket. Families are encouraged to arrive a little early for parking and check-in with a ticket or order number ready. Cameras and fully charged phones are recommended, and since no food is served, eating beforehand is a good idea. Little ones are welcome to wear a favorite princess outfit or any comfortable clothing, while adults are asked to avoid character-specific costumes to keep the magic alive for the children. Adults must remain with their children at all times, and performers are not caretakers. Courteous behavior ensures each child can enjoy an unrushed moment. Saturday, August 29th- 'UTL' AVPA ADULT King and Queen of the Court

Hyden Beach hosts an Under the Lights AVPA King and Queen of the Court tournament featuring A/BB (intermediate) and AA/A (intermediate or advanced) divisions. The start is staggered alongside the Juniors KQOB. Players register as single entrants, and the planned format is one round of pool play where everyone partners with each player on their court. Formats and divisions may be adjusted based on turnout, and divisions may be combined for initial rounds if needed. AVPAmerica membership is required, with Silver membership sufficient for local play and Gold required for national events. Walk-up registrations are not accepted, and advance payment is required to secure a spot.
