Beginners Mediumship

Kids Sculpt Class - Ice Cream Bowls

This beginner-friendly clay class is designed for kids ages 5 to 13 and offers a lively, hands-on art workshop experience. The cost is $15 per participant and covers all the materials needed to finish the project. Participants should be fully potty trained and able to stay engaged for about an hour and a half of guided instruction. This is a drop off format. Parents may remain on site, but they will be seated in a separate area and asked not to interfere so children can focus. The session aims to build confidence and encourage creative freedom. Children may bring an easy to open drink bottle. Screw top plastic bottles and open top containers are not allowed at the tables. Please remind young artists to arrive ready to be on their best behavior. Members receive discounts on all classes, and information about a kids membership is available on request.

At the Amarillo Civic Center Auditorium, a community watch party will stream The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square’s Hollywood Bowl concert, Songs of Hope, featuring special guests Donny Osmond, David Foster, Katharine McPhee, Stephanie J. Block, and Sebastian Arcelus. The evening focuses on inspiring music and messages of hope and drawing closer to Jesus Christ. The Choir is known for Music & the Spoken Word, a weekly broadcast with more than 5,000 episodes that is now in its 97th year, recognized as the longest-running continuous network broadcast in history.

Magician Kyle Groves leads the evening with audience participation and lighthearted surprises for a personal, immersive night of wonder. The program runs about 90 minutes and includes a brief intermission. Seating is very limited and many performances sell out in advance. Follow a friendly instructor step by step or let your own style lead the way. Space is limited. Choose your canvas size with pricing at $35 for 11x14 or $45 for 16x20. Members save on classes. Membership pricing is only for current members, and selecting it without an active membership adds a $5 convenience fee per person, with any balance due before the class begins. Arrive on time. Guests who are more than 20 minutes late will not be able to participate. Class fees are nonrefundable and nontransferable. Participants under 21 may attend. Anyone in the studio who is not painting will be charged a $12 studio day fee. The sixth annual golf scramble at Comanche Trail Golf Course offers a full day on the course with plenty of extras. Teams of four are $500 and individual entries are $125. Minis Summer Art Camp - 2 days

At The Art Plug-In, young creators explore the charm of miniature art by crafting tiny paintings and small sculpted pieces that highlight careful details. Supportive instructors provide step-by-step guidance while encouraging personal expression, so every piece reflects each artist’s style. Sessions include two group projects, followed by time for imaginative making and lighthearted art games, with access to materials such as paint, clay, beads and fabric. Tuition is $60 per child, or $50 for Premium Member Kids. A 25% deposit is due at booking, the remaining balance is charged on the stated balance date, and reservations made after that date require payment in full. If cancellation is requested before the balance is processed, the remaining charge can be canceled, but the deposit is nonrefundable and not transferable, even to another date. JNC Summer 3 Day Camp 2026 (July)

This three-day summer camp welcomes kids ages 9 and up for hands-on archery, air gun safety, and fishing skills. With guidance from JNC coaches Jon and Christi, campers learn range etiquette and bow safety, shoot a variety of targets, and get familiar with the parts of a bow and arrow to build a strong foundation in the sport. The curriculum also covers range safety and the Four Primary Rules of Gun Safety, followed by supervised time on the range to put new knowledge into action. Instruction includes shooting positions, aiming and sight adjustments, trigger control, and breathing techniques. Tripp’s Harley-Davidson and Family Support Services present the 31st year of this community celebration at the Amarillo National Center, combining live entertainment, food, and a shared purpose. Minecraft Summer Art Camp

At The Art Plug-In, kids who love Minecraft can turn pixel-style ideas into real-world art during a themed camp designed for ages 5 to 12. Supportive instructors lead step by step while leaving plenty of room for personal creativity, and projects draw from materials such as paint, clay, beads, fabric, and more. Campers typically complete two guided pieces, then spend additional time inventing their own work or playing creative games. They may make multiple projects, and offerings change even when a medium or technique shows up again. Please plan for timely pickup and be ready to help carry artwork home, as creations can add up quickly. Participants should bring a 9 x 12 sketchbook. You can purchase one at the studio for $3.50 plus tax or bring your own. Send a labeled, closable water bottle and label all items. Please do not send snacks. The cost is $30 per child, or $25 for Premium Member Kids. A 25% deposit is due when registering. The remaining balance is charged prior to camp, and reservations made after that charge date require full payment at booking. If you cancel before the balance is processed, the remaining amount will not be charged, though the deposit is nonrefundable and cannot be transferred to another date. There are no refunds or transfers for Summer Art Camp for any reason, and there is no sibling discount. The member price is available only to current Premium Kids Members who pay $50 or more each month, and membership must be active at registration and on the day of camp. This discount is not available to basic members. This camp welcomes children ages 5 to 12 who are fully potty trained and able to follow classroom-style instruction. Four-year-olds are not permitted, with no exceptions, and no refunds will be given if a child is 4 on the camp day. In the event of weather-related cancellation, a credit will be issued for a future workshop, club, or camp. Families will be contacted if behavior concerns arise. After efforts to redirect and communication with a parent, children with ongoing issues may be dismissed. Completion of planned projects is not guaranteed. The night begins with a meal prepared by Chef Ron from Sunday’s Kitchen while local magicians perform close-up wonders right at the tables. As the story unfolds, the featured illusion goes awry, secrets surface, and a seemingly lighthearted show turns into a puzzling case. Attendees shift from spectators to sleuths, tracking clues, questioning suspects, enjoying more astonishing magic, and laughing through a comedy-infused mystery where everyone becomes part of the narrative. Seating is very limited, with only 20 spots available each night, and advance tickets are recommended. The content is family friendly, though it is best suited for ages 13 and up.
