An outdoor sip and shop at Speakeasy Wine Bar offers live entertainment in a family friendly atmosphere. Spread across a 12,500 square foot lot, it brings together vendors, food trucks, bands, and plenty of activity. Local artists display their work and share information about future events around town. Inside the cozy wine bar, solo musical artists perform while the marketplace continues outside. The menu features fine wines and Champagnes, Cremant, Moscato, local craft, authentic Belgian beers, and delicious mocktails.

The Houston Hockey community is launching free stick and puck nights every Tuesday throughout the summer. This recurring series offers a weekly opportunity to take part in stick and puck at no charge.

Junior Golf Summer Camp

Eagle Pointe Golf Club hosts a welcoming golf camp for kids ages 6 to 11 at any experience level, from beginners to more seasoned juniors. Coaching emphasizes core skills for both recreational play and competition, covering everything from long shots to chipping and putting, along with course etiquette and the essential rules of the game. Participants are placed in groups by age and skill level for a supportive learning pace. The fee is $150 per child and includes instruction, lunch, and drinks and snacks. Children may bring their own clubs if they have them, and loaner equipment is available for those who do not. Registration is handled in the Pro Shop. Additional sessions are offered.

Tuesday Tiny Splashers

Enjoy a quieter swim tailored for toddlers, babies, and guests who prefer a lower-sensory experience at the Eagle Pointe Wave Pool. During this session, the splash pad is the only area open, and the main wave pool remains closed to keep the atmosphere calm. Admission is $5 per person, with free entry for children age 2 and under. Entry is purchased at the gate on a first come, first served basis until capacity is reached. All ages are welcome, with special attention to families with little ones and anyone seeking a gentler pace in the water.

3D Printing Camp

Kids curious about creating in 3D can dive into Tinkercad and turn their ideas into real objects in this hands-on camp. Participants will code and 3D print custom designs, making playful and practical items such as bubble wands and keychains. They will pick up helpful techniques and guidance for successful work in 3D modeling and printing. The camp is hosted by Code Ninjas Deer Park. Enrollment is limited to children who meet a specific birthdate range.

Texacone Snowcones and Ice Cream

Texacone Turns 2!

Texacone celebrates its second anniversary with a Texas-sized birthday party filled with music, dancing, and sweet treats. The festivities include a live DJ, community line dancing on 2nd Street, a balloon artist with tickets required, games and activities for kids, Texas Roadhouse peanuts and toys, and a complimentary scoop of Birthday Cake ice cream while supplies last. Early arrivals can take advantage of special giveaways. The first 10 customers in line receive free Texacone for a year, and the first 50 receive a free medium snowcone or a Blue Bell scoop. Purchases made that day earn entries in a birthday giveaway at a rate of one entry for every $10 spent. Built entirely around the mile, this challenge replaces traditional distance racing with relentless repeats. P2:3 Consulting presents the America Mile AMRAP Challenge at Bicentennial Park in Baytown, TX, where participants run a one mile loop and rack up as many laps as possible. It is strictly a no K’s format with no 5K option, no kids race, and no casual pacing... just steady effort, grit, and the Texas heat. A total of $999 in prize money is available across four divisions, and the field is capped at 250 runners. After the last lap, the celebration continues at Baytown’s largest free Fourth of July festival featuring live music from Eli Young Band and Mustache the Band, plus food, shopping, kids’ activities, fireworks, and more. Winners are recognized on stage during the festivities.

Women’s Operation 36 Program

At Eagle Pointe Golf Club, the Women’s Operation 36 Program offers a welcoming path to better golf for women and young adult players at any experience level. Across five weeks, participants focus on real on-course learning, beginning from 50 yards out and aiming to post a nine-hole score of 36 or better, then advancing through levels as they improve. The program includes regular practice sessions and two nine-hole on-course test rounds. The fee is $225 and covers all sessions and test days. Participants also gain access to the Operation 36 app to log practice and rounds, track goals, receive practice drills tailored to performance, and view scoring updates after each test day. Junior Golf Summer Camp

At Lomax Rodeo Arena in La Porte, Texas, this multi-species jackpot brings swine, cattle, lamb, and goat exhibitors together for back-to-back shows in two rings that run at the same time. Swine, cattle, lambs, and goats each have classes in Ring A and Ring B, and participation in Ring A is required before entering Ring B. Entry fees are set at $40 for Ring A and $30 for Ring B. Additional highlights include a Doe and Ewe Show scheduled ahead of Ring A and a Commercial Heifer Division offered in both rings. Judges include Ralph Stokely and Scott Jones for cattle, Gunner Coburn and Weston McElroy for lambs and goats, and Clayton Cox and Craig Dickinson for swine. Awards are extensive, with 51 buckles and 93 banners planned, including grand and reserve showman buckles for senior and junior divisions, division grand buckles, overall grand and reserve honors, Peewee Showmanship banners, and Adult Showmanship recognition. Prizes will be presented in both rings. A Turtle Box door prize is offered each day, with one free ticket per animal shown in Ring A and Ring B, and additional raffle tickets available for purchase on site. Concessions will be available along with shaved ice and coffee, and show supply details will be announced. Kicks & Threads is a free, community back-to-school event designed for students from kindergarten through 12th grade. It brings together a pop-up shoe shop and a fill-a-bag thrift experience in a friendly setting that welcomes all families and is not based on income. The goal is to make back-to-school shopping feel exciting and accessible for everyone, including junior high and high school students who enjoy thrifting unique finds. A pop-up shoe store will be set up at the main entrance and a fill-a-bag thrift store in the gym, and attendees will choose a line when they arrive. To keep the experience comfortable, only a few families will enter at a time, and lines may form outside. Bags for thrifting will be provided, and the aim is for every child to leave feeling confident and supported for the new school year. Every K-12 child will receive a bag to fill with clothing, accessories, trendy pieces, good finds, and everyday basics. The experience is free and open to everyone, bringing the fun of thrifting closer to home. The event is collecting new shoes in all sizes, gently used shoes, cleats for any sport in new or good condition, and new socks. Donated footwear should be in good shape with no holes or major damage and plenty of wear left. Additional needs include new and gently used clothing from kids 5T through adult sizes, as well as local business partners willing to host donation baskets. This community-driven effort is made possible by people showing up for local kids in a big way.

Bowling brings the community together for student success at this annual fundraiser benefiting Goose Creek CISD scholarships through the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Organized by the Baytown/Highlands Houston Metro Go Texan Committee at Max Bowl in Baytown, the event welcomes team registrations, business sponsorships and donations, and contributions to a silent and dessert auction. Operation 36 Junior Academy - Sept. 2026 Season

Young golfers ages 6 to 13 can build skills and confidence at Eagle Pointe Golf Club through the Operation 36 Junior Golf Program, a progressive and supportive approach that develops abilities one hole at a time. Each season lasts five weeks and costs $175 per player. Participants receive one practice session each week on Tuesdays and take part in two Saturday tournaments during the season. Learning continues between sessions with engaging videos and drills available in the Op 36 app. Enrollment is handled through the Pro Shop by contacting Haley at (281) 385-6666, and pre-payment is required to reserve a spot. Cancellations within 48 hours of the start date are not eligible for a refund.
