An additional session of the Kids, Crafts & Art Mini Camp will take place at LoveBug’s Learning Lab, replacing the previously planned Life Skills Mini Camp. This creative program invites young artists to dive into hands-on projects and process-focused art, including air-dry clay work, mixed media creations, and sensory activities. The Learning Lab will also be open for playful exploration that supports imagination and discovery. Children who are potty trained and older are welcome, and those not yet potty trained may attend with a supervising parent. Families are asked to send water and a snack or a packed lunch each day. Pricing is $65 for the first child and $50 for siblings. Space is limited, and advance registration is required.

Lecture: Mostly Texas: Robert Rauschenberg at 100

The McFaddin-Ward House Museum presents a free public talk, Mostly Texas: Robert Rauschenberg at 100, featuring Kristen Clevenson, assistant curator at the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation in New York City. In the museum’s Visitor Center Lecture Hall, Clevenson will trace the life and legacy of Texas-born artist Robert Rauschenberg, whose six-decade career spanned painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking, and performance. The program highlights his enduring connection to his home state, including a memorable 1993 letter to Governor Ann Richards signed, Love from me in Florida + mostly Texas. Clevenson has served at the Foundation since 2019, curated Robert Rauschenberg: Signs and Signals (1964–94), and holds degrees from Hunter College and the University of Virginia. These museum lectures are free and open to the public, with limited seating. In conjunction with the program, a separate complimentary guided visit for up to 30 guests to the Robert Rauschenberg exhibit at the Museum of the Gulf Coast is planned. Reservations are suggested, and walk-ins will be accommodated until capacity is reached. The Kind Kaygan Foundation presents: A PEDAL PARTY FUNDRAISER!

The Kind Kaygan Foundation is hosting a pedal party fundraiser centered on bike riding for all ages. Participants can bring their bikes to ride designated tracks, including an indoor course with a play area for toddlers and kindergarten-aged children, as well as a large outdoor track for riders 8 and older. Along the route there will be stations offering snow cones and lemonade, bike decorations, Kind Kaygan merchandise, and more. The early rider fee is $15 and the regular registration fee is $20. One registration form can cover a family or group of up to seven riders, and additional riders require an extra form. All proceeds and donations benefit the Kind Kaygan Foundation. Registration fees are nonrefundable.
