This twice-monthly Arts and Sciences gathering brings together Seawinds artisans to share their work, demonstrate a variety of crafts, and offer hands-on instruction to those interested in learning. The first gathering of each month typically includes an Officers/Populace meeting to discuss upcoming meetings and activities. For those who cannot attend in person, a live Zoom chat is available during the event. If the chat times out after 40 minutes, it is reopened with a new link shortly afterward so nothing is missed. There is no participation fee through SCA/Seawinds, and voluntary contributions toward a $25 monthly facility fee are appreciated. Alcohol is not permitted on the premises, and everyone is asked to clean up before leaving.

The City of Portland Parks and Recreation Department presents a summer day program in partnership with Gregory-Portland ISD for children ages 5 to 12 who will be entering kindergarten through sixth grade in the 2026-2027 school year. Each day blends play and learning with activities such as games, sports, swimming, science and nature exploration, field trips and special happenings, arts and crafts, healthy eating, and a summer jogging club. Children are grouped by age, class sizes are limited, and all instructors are certified in CPR and First Aid. The program operates under a license from the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. Transportation from swim lessons can be arranged when parents inform staff of the child’s enrollment so pickup can be scheduled. Lunch is provided through the GPISD Summer Food Program. A complete eight-week option runs Monday through Friday at T.M. Clark Elementary. The cost is $90 per week per child with a $60 registration fee, and both the registration fee and the first week’s tuition are due at enrollment.

His artwork blends surrealism with western and punk rock influences.
