Crawfish & Country Festival

This festival celebrates Memorial Day weekend with a daylong mix of country music and Cajun flavor. Live performances carry from the afternoon into the night, paired with cold drinks and plenty of crawfish, creating a relaxed, lawn-chair-friendly setting for singalongs with friends. The lineup includes Fire Away, a tribute to Chris Stapleton, headlining after sets by Carl Melton’s Family Affair, a Cajun zydeco band, and Randall Hunt. Crawfish is served throughout the day, full bars offer festival drinks, local vendors are on site, and admission is free.

Sea Of Love - Surf Acro Yoga Pilates @ The SandBox

The Divine Moon Yoga & Pilates team presents a full day of surf and wellness experiences on North Padre Island, with activities at Sandbox Beach Bar and on the beach. The day opens with a full moon sound meditation paired with a tea ceremony, then continues with Yoga for Surfing and multiple surf lessons. Later, combined yoga, Pilates, and acro sessions take place at Sandbox Beach Bar, and the Surfrider Foundation offers a presentation on practical ways to help. More surf lessons follow, and the vibe winds down with time to jam and chill. A single fitness class drop-in is $35 and includes a drink ticket and a giveaway. A day pass is $130, and a three day pass is $135. Additional options on the other two days include Sea of Hot Hearts, which includes beer or wine plus a giveaway and a hot heart class, and Take A Flight at Pep’s Portland, which pairs a flight of margaritas with a class.

Play unfolds at Oso Beach Golf Course in Corpus Christi from the Blue tee setup measuring 5,814 yards with a par of 70. The course sits just south of downtown and was originally laid out by John Bredemus.

Explore the essentials of making pottery on the wheel in a welcoming, four-session class created for adult beginners and those with a little clay experience. The journey starts with cylinder forms, the foundation for pieces like mugs and vases. The second meeting focuses on trimming those cylinders and learning to throw bowls. The third session refines bowl shapes and introduces small plates. The final class covers glazing so you can add color and finish to make your work your own. Instruction is led by Laura Orchard. The class is for adults 18 and older. The cost is $250 and all supplies are provided. Enrollment is limited to six students, with a minimum of two required to run.

Lights, Camera...SUMMER! Kidz Kamp 2026

Summer Kidz Kamp offers a season of play and discovery for children ages 5 to 12 who will be entering kindergarten through sixth grade for the 2026 to 2027 school year. Presented by the City of Portland Parks and Recreation in partnership with Gregory-Portland ISD, the program features age-based groups and small classes. Children can dive into games, sports, swimming, science and nature projects, field trips, special events, arts and crafts, nutrition-focused activities, and a summer jogging club. All staff hold CPR and First Aid certification, and it operates under a license from the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. Transportation from swim lessons can be arranged when parents inform staff after enrollment, and lunch is provided through the GPISD Summer Food Program. The complete eight-week option is $90 per child each week plus a $60 registration fee, with the fee and first week of tuition due at enrollment. Activities take place at T.M. Clark Elementary.

Set in fifteenth-century Paris, the tale follows Quasimodo, the secluded bell ringer of Notre Dame, who longs to experience the world beyond the cathedral. During the Feast of Fools he ventures outside and is mocked by the crowd, finding kindness only from Esmeralda, a Romani woman whose spirit also captures the attention of Captain Phoebus and the archdeacon Dom Claude Frollo. As Frollo’s fixation turns into a campaign against the Romani community, Quasimodo must decide where his loyalty and courage will lead him. A sweeping score underscores the drama and emotion of the story. Recommended for ages 8 and up with parental discretion, as the production explores mature themes and includes moments of violence.

Endurance Fest 2026

Centered at Water's Edge Park, this multi-day endurance festival features glow-themed runs, a special Night of the Mile, a full lineup of road races, and family-friendly cycling. The glow events include a kids 1K and an adult run supported by AEP. The Night of the Mile features heats with a rolling start for additional waves. Runners can choose from a 25K, 10K, half marathon, or a half marathon relay, and there is also a 2 mile walk. Summer Camp 2026: Creative Explorers

Children ages 5 to 8 can dive into art at the Art Center of Corpus Christi, with activities especially tailored to ages 5 to 6. Each day introduces a different medium, inviting kids to paint, sculpt, build, and bring their ideas to life. Engaging stations around the room encourage hands-on exploration, curiosity, play, and self expression, and campers take home unique pieces they created themselves. All supplies are provided. Limited scholarship opportunities are available for this camp. After registration, families receive a confirmation email that includes the registration form, which completes enrollment and collects the information needed for a safe, enjoyable experience. Instruction is led by Vanessa Spittler, a Corpus Christi native and award winning artist recognized for coastal inspired work spanning surfboard art, pottery, paintings, and handcrafted jewelry. As a full time artist who works across multiple mediums, she shares her passion for teaching and supports young artists in discovering their own creativity.

Junior Golf Summer Camp

Kids can dive into golf at a junior summer camp at Lozano Golf Center, designed for first timers and young players who already enjoy the game. Instruction covers the fundamentals from short game to full swing, with games, contests, drills, and group activities led by the coaching staff. Participants are grouped by age and skill so everyone learns comfortably and improves at the right pace. Practice takes place on upgraded facilities that include fifty hitting stations, an expanded 11,000 square foot practice green, clearly marked range targets and fairways, a short game zone with chipping greens and bunkers, and LED lighting that makes evening practice possible. The price is $150 per student. Beyond technique, the camp focuses on building confidence, encouraging friendships, keeping kids active, and nurturing a love for a sport they can enjoy for life.

Now in its fourteenth year, Field to Shore Brunch brings the Coastal Bend’s farm to table community together for a celebratory fundraiser that benefits Grow Local South Texas. Presented in partnership with the Coastal Bend Chefs and the Texas Chefs Association, this bayside gathering highlights the farmers, fishermen, chefs, and food artisans who keep the local food system thriving. Guests can expect a menu sourced entirely from nearby producers, featuring Gulf Coast seafood, peak seasonal harvests, local meats and dairy, and thoughtfully crafted sauces, relishes, and desserts prepared by leading Coastal Bend chefs. Live music, a silent auction, and a community celebration add to the experience, with proceeds supporting the organization’s mission to improve access to, education about, and advocacy for affordable, nutrient dense foods in South Texas. Support helps power weekly farmers markets, youth gardening and culinary programs, cooking workshops and chef demonstrations, producer development and local agriculture support, and environmental education projects such as the Banquette Sensory Rain Garden. The organization also operates the only farmers market in the Coastal Bend that accepts SNAP/EBT and matches benefits up to 30 dollars through the Double Up Food Bucks program in partnership with the Sustainable Food Center. Dino Lab - Lego Summer Camp

Young builders ages 6 to 8 can dive into a dinosaur-themed LEGO summer camp designed for Juniors. Over four days, participants begin with skill-building and introductions on Monday, continue by expanding their creations on Tuesday, take on a collaborative team challenge on Wednesday, and conclude with a showcase on Thursday that includes prizes. The cost is $125 per child.

Understanding Animal Control: A Rescuer's Guide to Systems, Law, and Effective Advocacy

For anyone who has felt frustrated or shut out when dealing with animal control, this practical training offers clear guidance on how the system functions and how to navigate it effectively. Led by Rebekah Chiarello, an animal rescue professional with extensive field experience and hands-on teaching expertise, the session covers how agencies operate, what the law permits and limits, why common obstacles occur, and strategies for communication and advocacy that lead to real results. The emphasis is on working within the system to influence it, with real-world application over theory. Participation is limited to 15 people to support focused discussion, and the fee is $35.

NB Ridaz: Runaway Throwback Night ft. Big Gemini

NB Ridaz brings a Runaway Throwback Night to House of Rock in Corpus Christi. The group’s story stretches back to 1997 with The First Chapter and the hip hop charting single Down For Yours. Founding members Dos and Zig Zag helped shape Latin rap in the Southwest and Arizona, originally performing as Nasty Boy Klick with MC Magic, whose Billboard-recognized tracks include So Fly, Pretty Girl, and Runaway. Their music blends rap, urban, R&B, and hip hop, and the use of Spanish lyrics connected with a broad audience. Special Girl reached the Top 40 among independent albums. After Magic moved into a solo career in the mid-2000s, Dos and Zig Zag continued forward, and the group still draws crowds nationwide. A limited number of table seats are available for purchase. New music is on the way, and the crew remains committed to the fans.
