Paint Your Pet With a Twist (Special Event)
Swap routine weekend plans for a playful painting class that puts your dog center stage. After reserving a spot, email a favorite photo of your pup and your chosen personality theme to creative@maryartcenter.com, selecting from The Parisian, Hollywood Glamour, The DJ, or Classic Portrait. An instructor will pre-sketch the image on your canvas so you can arrive ready to paint, and every canvas in the room will be different. Bring your own beverages and light snacks or charcuterie. All supplies are included, and the cost is $35 per person. Submit the photo at least three days before class. If it is not received by the deadline, a model dog image will be prepared on your canvas. Each portrait is created as an original interpretation that aims to capture your pup’s personality rather than copy a reference line by line.

Campers connect closely with more than 200 friendly farm animals, including goats, cows, bunnies, ponies, and others. Learning continues with engaging sessions about animal habitats and life cycles, hands-on STEM projects inspired by farm life, simple experiments, arts and crafts, outdoor games, and creative play. Groups are kept small to make activities personal and engaging. Lunch, snacks, and all materials are included. The price is $300 per child. Cancellations are 50 percent refundable when made more than two weeks before the start, and nonrefundable within two weeks of the start date.

iDENTITY: A CZECH GRAPHIC DESIGN LOVE STORY
Presented at River Oaks Theatre, this 85-minute film follows renowned Czech-American auctioneer Nicholas Lowry from New York to Prague as he seeks what shapes and defines Czech national identity. He visits design landmarks in Zlín, Litomyšl, Brno, and Pilsen, exploring the legacies of Tomáš Baťa, Josef Váchal, Alfons Mucha, and Ladislav Sutnar, and even tasting Pilsen’s famous beer. Along the way he meets contemporary artists Petr Babák, Martin Pecina, and Aleš Najbrt, while also reconnecting with his own Czech roots. Directed by Petr Smělík and Kateřina Mikulcová, it is presented in Czech and English with English subtitles and offers a light, playful tour of the Czech Republic’s graphic design heritage.

On the third day, The Rustic Brush leads a guided youth board painting session.
