Pokemon TCG Tuesdays: Resistance League - 3 Month Special - Promo Acrylic Stands & Prismatic Packs!

A weekly Pokemon TCG Resistance League event features Standard format play in a three-round Swiss structure. The entry fee is $8. A booster pack is awarded for each match win, with some sessions substituting store credit per win during product shortages. League points are tracked throughout May, June, and July, with 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw, and 0 for a loss. Each month, the top three point earners receive a special Pokemon Starter acrylic stand, with Chikorita, Tepig, and Totodile highlighted. At the end of the three-month run, the top three overall totals each receive three Prismatic Evolutions booster packs.

FNM runs every week with a growing player base. Entry is $5 and includes a free snack or drink, and winners in their pod receive a pack. Players of all experience levels attend, so it is easy to find a group to play with. Staff will be on hand and ready to help if needed.

Dallas Derby Devils All-Stars Mid-Season Tryouts

Mid-season roller derby tryouts at Galaxy Skate offer a path to the Dallas Derby Devils All-Stars. Evaluations are open to local and satellite skaters from home teams as well as those aiming to step into travel play, with high expectations and a strong commitment required. Selections will fill two squads: the A level Army of Darkness, a competitive international travel team, and the B level Battalion of Doom, a highly competitive national travel team. Pre-registration is required to participate. The tryout fee is 10 dollars and must be paid in advance via PayPal, Zelle, or the website. Entry is limited to registered tryout skaters and approved volunteer officials, and spectators are not permitted. Drop-in skaters must follow standard procedures. Adventures in Art Camp Summer 2026

Young creators can dive into summer-inspired art as they paint landscapes and seascapes, capture still life scenes, and bring animals to life on paper. Sessions are taught by award-winning instructors certified through Robert Garden, with a focus on genuine fine art skills and creative thinking rather than simple crafts. Participants experiment with four media including watercolor, acrylic, oil pastel, and charcoal, and will complete eight finished pieces. All materials are supplied. Children should come in an old T-shirt, pack a small snack, and bring a roll of paper towels. No prior experience is required, and the camp is open to ages 6 to 13. A parent or guardian must be present to sign participants in and out for each class.

Kids cook their way across America in a Route 66 themed food truck cooking camp from Chefsville. Inspired by the classic highway and modern street food, participants create bold, flavorful dishes from scratch while building real kitchen skills. They explore regional tastes from around the country, practice safety and techniques, collaborate like a food truck crew, and develop and present their own original menu ideas. Designed for ages 7 and up, this four day program runs three hours each day in small groups for plenty of personal guidance. Every session is hands on with a blend of skill building and creative concept work. The camp takes place at the Coppell Aquatic & Recreation Center. Pricing is $215 for members and $225.50 for nonmembers per camper, and the supply fee is included.

Summer Music Camp 2026 - Loop Music Academy (July)

Presented by Loop Music Academy at the Coppell Arts Center, this weeklong program with half-day sessions lets students build confidence, collaborate with peers, and discover what it feels like to play in a real band. Throughout the week, campers explore instruments in a fun setting, practice in small band groups alongside professional musicians, collaboratively write and arrange an original song, get an introduction to recording and basic studio skills, enjoy music games that strengthen core musicianship, and cap the week with a live showcase. Race 5 of the DFW Burning Soles Trail Running Series brings 5K and 10K trail racing to Grapevine North Shore Trail - MADD Shelter. Expect clearly marked singletrack, chip timing for every runner, and an energetic finish area. The route traces laps of Loop 5 with a short section of Loop 6 to a natural turnaround, where a water cache will be available. The experience is community centered and beginner friendly while still engaging for seasoned trail runners. Bibs are assigned at a participant’s first race in the series and should be reused at subsequent races. Each distance uses a mass start with all divisions beginning together, and 10K runners head out before the 5K to help create space on the course, so runners should remain aware of others. Weekly podiums recognize the top three men and top three women in both distances, with age group acknowledgments for juniors 13 and under, under 40, and masters 41 plus. Series awards conclude the season by honoring the top three in every division. Registration options are available for juniors 13 and under and for adults 14 and up, including full series, pre-registration, and late registration tiers. If weather forces a cancellation, make up dates are built into the schedule. Course distances are approximate and may vary with trail conditions.

Trinity River Challenge

The Trinity River Challenge brings paddlers together at McInnish Park Boat Ramp for a race with two distance options, 6 miles and 12 miles. Same day registration is available with a pre-race meeting to follow, and the 12 mile class starts before the 6 mile class. Entry is $25 per paddler. Racers 17 and under participate at no cost, and a 2 mile youth section is planned. Ages 12 to 17 may race solo or tandem, while ages 11 and under must be accompanied by an adult. The 6 mile course accepts kayak, canoe solo, canoe tandem, SUP, and OC-1. The 12 mile course accepts kayak solo, kayak tandem, canoe solo, canoe tandem, unlimited tandem, unlimited solo, SUP, and OC-1. Surf skis are placed in the unlimited class unless there are enough entries to form their own class. Races begin from the boat ramp. The 6 mile course travels to a designated turnaround and returns to a buoy finish line, while the 12 mile course reaches a farther turnaround before returning to the same buoy finish. OC-1 participation is at the paddler’s own risk, including the possibility of rudder damage, and all racers are expected to know the course. Event rules include no alcoholic beverages at the launch site or on the course. Portaging along the river banks is permitted only when the river is not passable. A US Coast Guard approved vest type life jacket must be in the boat for each person, and all state and local laws apply. Canoe classes must use single blade paddles, and rudders are not allowed in those classes. Boat numbers are placed on the left side of the boat.

At Southlake Town Square, the North Texas Walk for PKD brings people together for a community walk. The event is still working toward its goal and provides options to participate by walking or by supporting someone who is taking part.
