Sewing Camp For Kids (3 days)

Kids can dive into sewing during a three day camp focused on building skills and creating projects. The first session covers how to use a sewing machine, followed by hands-on time making items such as a tote bag and a pillowcase, with additional projects as time allows. Participants should be at least 11, unless the shop owner approves otherwise. A limited number of machines can be rented for the week for $40, and reserving in advance is recommended. A machine may also be purchased with the camp at a discounted rate, with details available from the shop. The class fee includes fabric, thread, patterns, scissors, and other necessary materials, and students receive 15% off any extra supplies they may want for home.

She operates a private tutoring business during the school year and brings two years of experience leading STEM workshops for classes of 15 to 60 students, along with two years working with 2nd through 12th graders on core coursework and standardized test prep including TSIA2, SAT, and STAAR. Build confidence at the machine in a two-day mini sewing camp that begins with hands-on instruction, then moves into creating one or two projects. Bring a personal sewing machine or rent one for an additional $35, with limited availability. All fabric and other supplies are included, except the machine. Students may also purchase a machine at a special class rate, including the option to buy a rental machine at the end of camp for 20 percent off. This camp is for ages 8 and up.
