Design and craft a vibrant 6x12 fused glass dish at That Art Place with step-by-step instruction. No previous glass experience is necessary, and all materials and kiln firings are included. Choose your colors and lay out your design, then the piece will be kiln fired once to fuse the glass and again to shape it into a dish. Pre-registration is required. DREAMCATCHERS Camp for All

One of the largest rides of the year brings motorcyclists together to escort several buses carrying children and parents to Camp for All for a week of outdoor activities. Riders gather at the dealership and roll out together along a designated route to Scott and White, where vested ground guides will direct all two and three wheeled bikes to parking. From the hospital, a law enforcement escort leads the procession through Bell, Milam, and Burleson counties, with a lunch stop in Caldwell. After the kids finish eating, the group accompanies the buses the rest of the way to Camp for All. This is a kickstand down ride. A Google Maps route is available in the event details, and more information will be shared at an upcoming meeting.

Pre-Season Car Wash Fundraiser

Washes purchased through the designated QR code or link will trigger a text message with a barcode to redeem on site at Today’s Car Wash in Belton. For each qualifying wash, $10 will be donated to support music education and equity for band students at Belton High School, Belton Middle School, and South Belton Middle School. Parade floats are welcome, offering a way to support the band and the community. This fundraiser applies to the Belton location only.

Archaeologist Clark Wernecke presents a Summer Lecture at Barrow Brewing on Route 66 and the Bunion Derby, focusing on the notable foot race linked to the historic highway. Texas historian Kurt Terry and Scottish fiddler Colin MacLeod present a program that intertwines frontier narratives, live fiddle music, and the faith practices carried by Scots settlers from Salado into the wider Southwest. Through spoken story, projected images, and spirited tunes, the experience explores the sounds and communities that shaped life in nineteenth century Texas and the broader western frontier. The journey follows the movement of people and ideas along historic routes to show how music and worship traveled together, influencing daily life through hymns, fiddle tunes, communal singing, dances, and shared gatherings. Terry, a Professor of History at Temple College with degrees from Baylor University and Stephen F. Austin State University and doctoral work at Oklahoma State University, brings research on Texas frontier communities and experience presenting at educational conferences, including a session with the Texas State Historical Association. MacLeod, often called the Celtic Fiddle Guru, began playing at age seven within a family tradition of ceilidhs, earned Grade 8 Violin Distinction, performed with Celtic groups in Australia, and has taught by ear across Scotland, Australia, and the United States since 2007, drawing on research into how music shaped Scottish emigrant communities.
