Niko Niko's Woodlands (Woodlands Location)The "ART" of Mindfulness- Watercolor Mandalas
Experience a calm, creativity-centered workshop that blends time-honored mindfulness with contemporary artmaking. It begins with easy breathing exercises, then participants slowly build a personal mandala, starting at the center and expanding outward with vivid watercolor pens. The steady, circular mark-making supports focus, softens mental chatter, and anchors attention in the present. No prior art experience is required, and the emphasis is on the process rather than perfection. Creating within a circle offers a structure that feels both secure and freeing, giving space to explore while gently guiding creative energy inward. The word mandala comes from Sanskrit and refers to a circle, a form long used across cultures for meditation and self-reflection. Studies indicate that making mandalas can ease anxiety, improve concentration, and foster a feeling of calm and centeredness. Symmetrical designs engage both hemispheres of the brain, and the repetitive rhythm can offer effects similar to traditional seated meditation, which is helpful for those who find stillness challenging. Participants leave with a unique watercolor mandala and a renewed sense of presence to carry into the day. Materials are supplied.

No previous breathwork experience is needed. You will recline in a zero gravity chair with an eye mask and headphones provided, creating a personal, inward-focused experience even in a small group of up to ten people. Wear comfortable clothing, consider bringing a blanket if you tend to get cold, and avoid eating for about two hours beforehand to support comfort. OMNi - Regular game
OMNi Regular Soccer brings high energy pickup play to Community Fieldhouse with a focus on community, competition, and fun for every skill level. Sessions scale to the number of players so everyone gets meaningful minutes and a smooth experience. With 24 participants or fewer, the group plays an 11v11 style format with rotating subs and balanced sides. If attendance is higher, players are organized into three or four squads of roughly eight to nine, then rotate through short matches and mini games to keep the pace quick, touches frequent, and wait times short. Each matchup is played to three goals or capped at 15 minutes. A clear code of conduct keeps the games enjoyable and safe. Respect for all participants and staff is mandatory. Fighting, harassment, or aggressive behavior leads to immediate removal, a minimum two game suspension, and possibly a season long ban depending on severity. Slide tackles aimed at an opponent are not allowed. Sliding to block a pass or intercept a ball is permitted only when it avoids dangerous contact. Unsafe challenges can earn a yellow card, and a serious or reckless challenge can result in a red. Physical play has limits as well. Shoulder to shoulder contact while playing the ball is acceptable, but body checks without an attempt to play the ball are prohibited and may draw a yellow or, if a clear chance is denied, a red. Tackles from behind are not allowed and carry similar penalties, including a red card for stopping a breakaway. Substitutions happen only during stoppages and teams manage their own rotations. Cards are enforced to promote fair play. A yellow warns for unsafe or unsporting behavior. Two yellows equal a red, which removes the player and forces the team to finish short handed. A straight red brings immediate dismissal and can lead to further suspension after review. Teams are expected to field enough players for safe, competitive pickup. Coed sessions require at least six total participants with at least one woman on the field at all times. Players can expect an inviting yet competitive setting, organized rotations, balanced teams, and a chance to connect with others. Depending on the session, play may be on indoor or outdoor turf, blending music, fitness, community, and soccer. The spirit of OMNi centers on building friendships, staying active, competing together, and growing the soccer community. Whether returning to the game, playing in a league, or kicking around on weekends, there is space for everyone. Bring your cleats and bring your friends.

The Learning ZooJeff Ruby at The Red Brick Tavern
Jeff Ruby brings a free solo acoustic performance of original songs to The Red Brick Tavern. This event welcomes all ages. Ruby is a solo artist and songwriter from Indiana whose lyrics draw on real-life struggles, social themes, and resilience, delivered with uncommon honesty and poise. He grew up on a farm in rural Indiana, spent hours teaching himself guitar, and gravitated toward the brooding sounds of Seattle grunge alongside big, melodic Brit-pop. Early success in the stock market pushed him toward a business degree and heavy drinking in college, and music slipped into the background. Looking for a way back, he moved to Orange Beach, Alabama in 2004, quit drinking, and began writing in earnest. Open mic nights led to paid shows. He eventually headed to Nashville with a guitar and a handful of songs, releasing his debut EP, "Beyond The Pale," in 2010. Since then he has continued to perform and release new music.
