OMNi - Regular game

OMNi Regular Soccer offers fast, community-driven pickup play that welcomes every skill level. Expect big games, a strong sense of community, and plenty of energy, all centered on friendly competition and fun. Formats adjust to who shows up to keep playtime fair and the experience smooth. With 24 players or fewer, sessions run in an 11v11 style with rotating substitutions and balanced sides. If turnout is higher than 24, players are organized into squads of about eight to nine, typically creating three or four teams that rotate through short matches and mini-games. This approach keeps the pace brisk, increases touches on the ball, minimizes waiting, and maintains a competitive, enjoyable vibe. Games are played to three goals or for 15 minutes, whichever comes first. Clear guidelines keep the environment respectful and safe. Everyone is expected to treat others with respect, and while competitive play is encouraged, fighting, harassment, and aggressive behavior are not allowed. Starting a fight leads to immediate removal, at least a two-game suspension, and possibly a season-long ban based on severity. Slide tackles directed at an opponent are prohibited, though sliding to block a pass or intercept the ball is fine when it does not create dangerous contact. Unsafe or reckless challenges can draw a yellow card or a red card. Physical play must remain controlled, so shoulder-to-shoulder contact while playing the ball is acceptable, but body checking without an attempt to play the ball is penalized and can result in a red card if it denies a clear scoring chance. Tackles from behind are not allowed and carry the same card consequences, including a red card for stopping a breakaway or obvious scoring opportunity. Substitutions occur only when play is stopped, and teams handle their own rotations. Card rules are enforced, with a yellow serving as a warning for unsafe or unsportsmanlike actions. Two yellows become a red, which removes the player and requires the team to finish short-handed. Any red card brings immediate removal and can lead to additional suspension after review. Teams are expected to field enough players for safe, competitive play. For coed sessions, the minimum is six players in total with at least one female player on the field at all times. Players can look forward to an inviting yet competitive atmosphere, a chance to meet new people, organized rotations with balanced teams, and sessions that may be held on indoor or outdoor turf depending on the occasion. Jeff Ruby brings a free solo acoustic performance of original songs to The Red Brick Tavern. This event welcomes all ages. Ruby is a solo artist and songwriter from Indiana whose lyrics draw on real-life struggles, social themes, and resilience, delivered with uncommon honesty and poise. He grew up on a farm in rural Indiana, spent hours teaching himself guitar, and gravitated toward the brooding sounds of Seattle grunge alongside big, melodic Brit-pop. Early success in the stock market pushed him toward a business degree and heavy drinking in college, and music slipped into the background. Looking for a way back, he moved to Orange Beach, Alabama in 2004, quit drinking, and began writing in earnest. Open mic nights led to paid shows. He eventually headed to Nashville with a guitar and a handful of songs, releasing his debut EP, "Beyond The Pale," in 2010. Since then he has continued to perform and release new music.

Souls of the Titanic: Below the Decks

At MB Speakeasy, Souls of the Titanic: Below the Decks invites guests into a carefully crafted 1912 social setting inspired by White Star Line voyages, with an emphasis on the camaraderie and culture of Second and Third Class rather than First Class formality. It is not a replica of the ship. Instead, the experience focuses on music, mood, and storytelling that reflect life aboard during that era. Expect live period tunes, narratives about the Titanic and its passengers, original pieces from the Souls of the Titanic series, and the unveiling of a new artwork. The setting features warm maritime lighting, an outdoor area with a shipboard feel, and photo moments with Dirk Strangely. Grazing tables offer selections such as nuts, dried fruits, cheeses, meats, and flatbreads. A White Star Line inspired postcard station will be available, and the bar will serve 1912 themed cocktails along with drinks documented from the ship’s service. Guests are welcome to attend in attire inspired by Second and Third Class styles from 1912, and cigars may be enjoyed outdoors. Presented by Dirk Strangely, founder of Artifactism, the evening highlights artwork created with authenticated Titanic coal pigment integrated directly into the painting process, including within the subject’s pupils and within the artist’s signature, creating a tangible link to the historic vessel. A never before seen portrait of a Titanic passenger will be revealed. The Souls of the Titanic series has been featured by Click2Houston, The Courier, the Houston Chronicle, and CW39, with plans for future exhibitions within Titanic museums and related shows, making these gatherings a rare opportunity to experience the work in person. Admission is free, and attendance is limited to 50 guests. An exclusive 5 by 7 signed and hand numbered Artifactism print edition, created using pigment produced from authentic Titanic coal and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity, will be offered only to attendees. Collector numbers 1 through 3 are priced at $250, $225, and $200, and numbers 4 through 50 are $125 each. Only 50 prints will be produced for this unveiling.
