    United Hearts & Minds Luncheon

The Grove, 3500 Old Jacksonville Rd, Tyler
    See details

United Hearts & Minds Luncheon is an annual fundraiser from SocialWorx devoted to mental wellness. Hosted at The Grove - Tyler, it brings together 100 community members for meaningful conversations, shared stories, and a celebration of the many people and perspectives that influence the mental health landscape. SocialWorx leads a community-centered movement in East Texas, grounded in the belief that healing grows when minds and hearts come together. Regional needs are urgent. Suicide rates in East Texas are 30 to 45 percent higher in non-metro areas. Since COVID-19, depression and suicidal thoughts have risen, especially among underrepresented multicultural communities. Many people still do not know where to turn for support, and SocialWorx works to ensure no one has to search alone. The organization welcomes neighbors, professionals, people with insurance and without, underrepresented communities, and anyone unsure how to begin. Support is tailored to each person and continues as they reconnect with daily life, reinforcing that it is okay to seek mental health care and to ask for help. The approach is communal rather than clinical, built on connection, compassion, and community.
