Special Exhibit: 4th Annual Treasures on Canvas

Experience the fourth annual Treasures on Canvas and Vintage Botanical Designs exhibition at the Goodman‑LeGrand Museum, where the historic home becomes a gallery for original paintings and Victorian‑inspired floral artistry. View works sparked by the museum’s rooms, artifacts, and collections, along with flora and fauna pieces, and discover botanical arrangements created with materials chosen to keep their shape for the full run. Displays are placed throughout the house to complement its period character. Every entry participates in a competition voted on by visitors. Some pieces may be offered for purchase, although all works remain on view until the exhibit concludes. Local artists and floral designers are welcome to submit. Paintings may depict the house inside or out, its furnishings, and other collection highlights, with sizes from 5 by 7 inches up to 16 by 20 inches, and nature subjects are also accepted. Hosted by The Children's Advocacy Center of Smith County, the 13th annual Bling-O comes to the W. T. Brookshire Conference Center with a playful circus theme that brings the excitement of life under the big top. Promoted as East Texas' largest night out for women, this celebration supports the community’s effort to address child abuse while offering a vibrant evening of entertainment. The experience is presented across two matching nights, each featuring a buffet dinner, a silent auction, raffles, and ten rounds of bingo with designer handbags as prizes.
