Me Like Bees

Presented by Stanley’s Famous Pit BBQ and Colt Classic, Me Like Bees takes the stage at Stanley’s Famous Pit BBQ in Tyler, Texas. Formed in 2009 by Pete Burton and Luke Sheafer after reconnecting in a southwest Missouri college town, the Missouri-based indie rock band draws on a shared love of the 2000s, channeling the energy of acts like The Strokes, Modest Mouse, The White Stripes, and Franz Ferdinand into danceable, guitar-driven songs. Their catalog includes the full-length debut The Ides on Loveway Records, the follow-up album Disco Two Step, and the EP There Will Be Time created with producer John Feldmann. The group also teamed up with Image Comics and artist Jeremy Haun for the graphic novel-inspired EP Songs From The Realm, and earned national recognition by winning the Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands in Hollywood, which led to a spot on the Vans Warped Tour. The band’s name is rooted in a line from Psalm 118 about being surrounded like bees, a spark that continues to shape their creative identity. All tickets are general admission with standing room. Seating is limited, first come first served, and may be just a chair or stool. Tables and seats can have restricted views when the crowd is standing.
