Logan Regional Cruise n’ Clean

At Logan Regional Pediatric Rehab, families can bring their child’s adaptive equipment for a no-cost cleaning and safety check. Staff from Logan Regional Pediatric Rehab, the Intermountain Wheelchair Shop, and the Utah Assistive Technology Program will inspect gear, answer questions, and help ensure proper fit, comfort, and function. Wheelchairs, walkers, standers, crutches, and other devices are welcome. Frame runner demonstrations will be available, offering an adaptive sports option that helps kids stay active and build confidence. Look for the event near the south entrance. 3-Day STEM Workshops for Kids

Kids can dive into a three-day STEM workshop at Logan Library that trades screen time for hands-on creativity. Over three consecutive sessions, young makers imagine, build, and problem solve through fast-paced challenges. This session features balloon-powered air cannons on the first day, spinning thaumatropes that explore optical illusions on the second, and note card towers that test design skills and steady hands on the third. Each day begins with a short, engaging lesson to spark ideas, continues with an extended block of building and engineering, and wraps up with a team cleanup plus a drink and snack to take on the way out. Parents may drop children off or stay to create alongside them for a shared experience. Check-in opens shortly before the start, and arriving early can help with getting settled. Registration covers all three days for $6 per child. Supplies are prepared in advance, so there are no partial rates for missed days and no refunds. Walk-ins are welcome, and pre-registration helps ensure the workshop proceeds as planned. A loyalty program is available that awards points toward discounts on future workshops. A signed safety waiver is required at check-in. Outside food and drinks are not permitted, and a snack and beverage are provided at the end of each day. The organizer is not liable for injuries, and parents remain responsible for supervising their children during the event. The story follows locals and visitors as they overcome language hurdles and cultural differences through songs, warm hospitality, and even free drinks, discovering a shared sense of global community. Content guidance is comparable to a PG-13 film, and children under five will not be admitted.

Fry Street Chamber Music Festival

The Fry Street Chamber Music Festival Concert Series brings four performances to the Russell/Wanlass Performance Hall on the Utah State University campus, featuring the Fry Street Quartet alongside festival guest artists and faculty. Logan River Trail 10K & 5K

The Logan River Trail 10K and 5K follows a flat, eight foot wide concrete path with no elevation gain. The shaded course crosses the river several times on bridges and showcases a popular running route in Logan. Start and finish take place at Willow Park. Registration includes race entry, a unisex T-shirt, a finisher medal, a swag bag, an official bib, raffle eligibility, and chip-timed results. T-shirt size availability may be limited. The race is part of the unofficial training series for the Top of Utah Marathon, also known as the Logan Marathon. Packet pickup is offered in advance at Sol Speak Yoga and on race morning at Willow Park. The event proceeds rain or shine and entry fees are nonrefundable.

Class: Photography and the Art of Seeing

This hands-on class for adults is built for photographers who already know their way around their cameras and can shoot with any model they prefer. It is a mobile workshop that requires driving to local locations and includes plenty of walking. The focus is learning to notice artistic moments in everyday life, make thoughtful photographs, and talk about the work. It moves quickly and centers on street photography with an emphasis on people, rather than pursuing traditionally pretty scenes. A central theme is visual storytelling, both in a single frame and across a sequence. Participants complete photo exercises between meetings to practice building narratives that viewers can understand at a glance. Each session includes practical street techniques, composition on the fly, and guidance on camera settings and lighting. Most meetings take place while photographing on the street or at specific spots using available light, working quietly and unobtrusively within each environment. Non-shooting assignments include discussing personal sources of inspiration and doing outside research to learn about influential street photographers from the past and present.

3-Day STEM Workshops for Kids

At Logan Library, a three-day STEM summer workshop invites kids to swap screens for hands-on problem solving and real-world tinkering. Each day brings fast-paced challenges that spark imagination and build creativity in a completely unplugged setting. Participants explore paper airplanes to play with kid-friendly aerodynamics, take on the tallest paper tower using only paper and tape, and create pixel art to discover how images come together from tiny squares. Sessions open with a quick idea-sparking lesson, move into open building and engineering time, then finish with cleanup and a free drink and snack to take on the way out. Parents may drop children off, though creating together is encouraged for a shared family experience. Registration is $6 per child and covers all three days. There are no partial rates for missed days and no refunds. Walk-ins are welcome, but reserving a spot in advance helps prevent cancellation due to low attendance. A loyalty program is available at checkout to earn points that can be used for discounts on future workshops. A standard safety waiver is required upon arrival. Outside food and drinks are not allowed, and parents remain responsible for supervising their children while the organizers facilitate the activities.
