A friendly ultimate frisbee game takes place on the track field at Orem Community Hospital and welcomes participants of every experience level. Newcomers can learn to throw, catch, and contribute on the field, and play is designed so everyone is included. When numbers allow, teams aim for 7v7 with rotating subs. Those who prefer not to play are part of the experience too, with people relaxing in chairs, sharing snacks, cheering from the sidelines, or walking laps around the track together. The group follows clear rules to keep the game safe and fair, and teaching is part of the culture, so learning on the field is encouraged. Ultimate relies on players to self-officiate, emphasizing respect, communication, and resolving calls together in the Spirit of the Game. Any concerns can be brought to Dann. Running is optional. Some sprint, some jog, and some walk, and guidance is offered to help everyone use energy efficiently and contribute at their own pace. Fitness level is not a barrier, and field leaders provide final rulings to keep the game consistent for everyone. Water is important in hot weather. Many participants wear soccer cleats for better traction, though regular athletic shoes work fine as well. Friends are welcome. For safety, children are asked to stay off the playing field unless they can keep pace with adult play, though they can enjoy the sidelines, walk the track, or bring quiet games. A marketplace with more than 40 local vendors, presented by Sunset Farmers Markets and University Place stores, will be set up in The Orchard.

Botanical artist Whitney leads a hands-on flower pressing workshop that begins with technique basics, followed by time to practice using fresh blooms in a provided book press. The press is yours to take home for continued use. After the demonstration, the focus turns to design, with clear instruction and all materials needed to create a 5x5 framed botanical wall hanging. The fee is $80 and includes previously pressed flowers, a frame, glue, tweezers, freshly cut blooms, and the book press. Alpha Basketball Camp 2026

At Alpha Arena, this two-day basketball camp delivers focused training, competitive play, and skill development designed to elevate each athlete’s game. A two day youth summer camp at CLAS Ropes Course invites kids to dive into outdoor adventure while building confidence and having fun. America 250 Historical Flag Display

To honor the nation’s 250th birthday, The Orchard at University Place features a historical flag display that showcases every official United States flag design from the past 250 years. Each flag is paired with a tag noting the year, the official design, and brief context, including milestones like the admission of new states, presidential inaugurations, and important cultural moments. A large reproduction of the Declaration of Independence is also available to read. Visitors are asked to be respectful and refrain from handling the flags.

This event is an evening of service dedicated to sewing Angel Suits, small garments for stillborn, miscarried, and premature babies. Attendees bring a sewing machine and their preferred tools, and precut fabric and thread are provided. Anyone comfortable with a basic straight stitch can complete these dresses. Finished pieces will be donated to hospitals to be given to families grieving the loss of a baby. Special thanks to Dave's Bernina in Provo, Utah for providing classroom space.

Set within the Utah County Fair at the Spanish Fork Fairgrounds, this multi day market highlights more than 100 local makers and small businesses. Expect a wide variety of handmade and artisan goods, from jewelry and woodcraft to pottery, leather items, stained glass, candles, soaps, and macrame. Explore sculpture, paintings and drawings, 3D printed and resin creations, stickers, photography, books, and embroidery, plus crystals and rocks, with henna and face painting adding to the fun. Vendor coordination for the fair is managed by Sunset Farmers Markets in partnership with Utah County.

Provo Cup 2026 - PPE Hockey - The Ultimate Hockey Experience!

A PPE Hockey tournament returns to Provo at Peaks Ice Arena, offering a competitive slate of games for youth divisions. Every team is guaranteed four games. Matchups in 16U and 18U are played in three 15 minute periods, while 8U through 14U games feature three 13 minute stop time periods. Live scoring and standings are available through the event’s web portal. Teams can expect extras such as 20 pucks for each roster and a swag bag for every player, supported by Prime Drinks sponsorship. Many events also include opportunities to meet NHL players, a recovery area with Normatec 3 boots to help players recharge between games, and an optional player and parent dinner at Dave & Busters with talks from NHL players and a mental performance coach for a small additional fee. Pack Walk & Group Socialization Class

This community pack walk and group socialization class at Nebo School District is offered free of charge. It is designed to help dogs practice calm behavior around everyday distractions such as other dogs, families, and traffic while participants meet the Bakers Acres team, ask behavior questions, receive professional training advice, and, if needed, schedule a complimentary consultation with the head trainer. The environment is supportive and collaborative, encouraging attendees to share strategies that have helped and to offer friendly troubleshooting to others. Attendance is capped at 30 dogs at a time, and an RSVP is requested for each dog. The walk is open to the public. Only one dog may be handled per adult over 18, and children who wish to handle a dog must have permission from the trainer. For safety, wait by your vehicle until the trainer provides instructions, silence phones to stay fully engaged, and keep at least 10 feet of space from other teams when arriving and during the walk. Dogs must wear a secure, fitted buckle collar with a regular 6-foot leash or slip lead, along with any training tools recommended by your trainer. Check all equipment before leaving the car and maintain a firm grip on the leash at all times. Dress for the forecast and skip the walk if conditions are too hot or cold for you or your dog. Please clean up after yourself and your pet when finished. Walk Guides are available to help with questions. Dogs with unresolved or severe behavioral issues should arrange a free consultation before attending, as participants will include children and dogs of various sizes, ages, and training levels. After the walk, an optional Walk Doctor Workshop is available for $50 per session. Activities may be canceled in the case of severe weather or major holidays.

Canning & Preserving 101 Workshop

Guest instructor Nancy Nielsen leads an introductory workshop on home food preservation that brings a fading tradition back into practice. Learn ways to extend the harvest beyond summer with guidance on canning, freezing, freeze-drying, dehydrating, cold storage, and using a root cellar. Discover how straightforward methods can turn extra tomatoes and cucumbers into pantry staples, offer flavors you will not find on store shelves, and give you confidence in what is in your jars while avoiding unwanted chemicals, dyes, and pesticides. The session includes how-to demonstrations, recipes to take home, and samples to taste, plus advice on choosing the right pickle style for different cucumber sizes. The fee is $45 and includes recipes and samples. Cancellations after July 25 cannot be refunded due to material costs and high interest. Garden Rewards cannot be applied to workshops or classes. Struggling with a dog that pulls, lunges, or reacts on leash? This focused, hands-on workshop offers real-world training to turn chaotic outings into calm, structured walks. Scheduled right after the Pack Walk, dogs arrive engaged and ready to practice as multiple trainers provide individualized coaching and immediate, practical adjustments you can use right away. Over the course of one hour, dog and handler teams refine leash handling and position, stop pulling and forging ahead, build neutrality around other dogs and distractions, and turn reactive moments into opportunities for confident leadership. The format is active and practice based, not a lecture. The rate is $50 per dog and handler team, and pricing may change. Space is limited to maintain personal attention, and RSVP is requested. Attendees gather in and behind the pavilion across the river for a relaxed evening where Tai H. DJs a mix of crowd pleasers and those irresistible tracks that get people moving. Utah Outdoor State Championships

The Utah Outdoor State Championships features racing across Novice, 4x4 Short Course, 1/8 E-Buggy, 1/8 E-Truggy, 1/8 Nitro Truggy, and 1/8 Nitro Buggy classes. Entry is $25 for the first class and $20 for each additional class. The format includes two rounds of qualifying with the better of the two counting. Main events consist of 30-minute Nitro A mains, double A mains for electric at 10 minutes each, and 8-minute lower mains. Two drivers will bump up in all classes. Pit setup and open practice take place beforehand, with practice and signups held before racing begins.

4th Annual Ava's Bigfoot Stomp

Ava’s Bigfoot Stomp returns for its fourth year as a community 1 mile fun run hosted by the Live Like Ava Mickelson Foundation, honoring Ava while rallying around a local family. This edition focuses on 12 year old Spanish Fork resident Emree Mortensen, who was diagnosed with Undifferentiated Embryonal Sarcoma of the Liver, a rare liver cancer. She is undergoing four rounds of chemotherapy, followed by a partial or full liver transplant and additional treatment. The run takes place at Legacy Farms Park in Spanish Fork and welcomes participants of all ages and paces, including families with strollers. The goal is to reach 300 registered runners and walkers to surround the Mortensen family with support. Emree loves school, cheer, music, traveling, and time with friends, and every registration directly helps her family as they navigate the medical journey ahead. Those who are unable to take part can still help by contributing or by sharing the event within the community.

Crystal Festival - A Rock, Mineral, Gem, and Crystal Show

Explore a lively rock, mineral, gem, and crystal showcase in Spanish Fork, featuring a curated marketplace with more than 30 knowledgeable sellers. Browse crystals, minerals, gemstones, fossils, jewelry, cabochons, and handmade pieces, with plenty of opportunities to learn and get hands-on. The setting is family friendly, with interactive stations for kids, educational displays, and a vendor-to-vendor trick-or-treat path where little ones can safely pick up treats while touring the show. Groups of 10 or more are asked to RSVP in advance for trick-or-treating. Admission and parking are free. Held at the Spanish Fork fairgrounds inside the Tennis Courts Building, this event welcomes crystal enthusiasts, seasoned rockhounds, gift seekers, and curious newcomers alike.
