    Zion Loop Day Trip

Zion National Park, 1180 W State St, Hurricane
    See details

Escape the desert heat with a single-day, out-and-back adventure ride in and around Zion. The route focuses on scenery and uses mostly easy gravel roads and pavement, with most of the loop positioned to the northeast of the park and a few brief stretches rated 4 out of 10 on OnX. The meetup point is the Zion Corridor Park and Ride in Virgin, Utah, and the map shown on Facebook is inaccurate, with additional meeting details provided in the discussion thread. Travel time from Las Vegas is about two and a half hours. The planned loop covers roughly 100 miles with fuel available at Duck Creek near the midpoint, and there are about 30 paved miles connecting the drop-off area to the start and finish of the loop for an overall total of about 160 miles. Entry into the park requires a pass, so riders should have one with them. Communication will use GMRS radio channel 5. Participants should be self-sufficient with navigation and communication gear, tools, food, and water. This is a casual ride rather than a structured event, and each person is responsible for their own safety and decisions.
