Settle into a calming sound bath at The Larimar Lotus, guided by a certified instructor who plays crystal bowls, gongs, Tibetan bowls, chimes, handheld drums, and other instruments to encourage deep relaxation throughout the body. Rooted in ancient practices from Egypt, Greece, and India, a sound bath surrounds you in waves of tone and vibration rather than water. Many find that this experience supports a restful state that can ease anxiety, tension, anger, confusion, pain, and sleep challenges, helping the body begin its own healing process and restoring balance to body, mind, heart, and spirit. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat, pillow, or light blanket for added comfort, with extra mats available and chairs provided for anyone who prefers to sit. Advance registration is required by phone at 434-228-7500. Cost is $20 for a single session, with package options of three for $45 or four for $60, credit card payments include processing fees, and packages apply to the month of purchase with unused sessions not carrying over.

This event pairs shared food with open conversation about life, aging, and mortality. The Death Cafe format provides a relaxed, supportive setting for exploring thoughts, questions, and personal philosophies. For this occasion, Tater Tactics shifts from the truck to the dining room with its first seated table service, bringing signature loaded potatoes directly to the table. The gathering takes place in a private room with a lounge area to encourage comfortable, unhurried discussion. Space is limited and an RSVP is required. Please note that this is a discussion group, not a grief support or counseling session. Open to all, with an emphasis on arriving with an open mind and an appetite.
