Smokestack’s Haunted History Tours is casting actors ages 16 and up for multiple roles inspired by figures from local history. This is described as one of Smokestack’s most popular annual events and suits participants seeking a lighter rehearsal load with fewer lines, as most parts run one to two pages. Performances take place across three evenings with five tours on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, followed by a final on-stage presentation Sunday. Volunteers are also needed to support behind-the-scenes efforts. Registration is required to audition or volunteer, and you can browse potential roles during the registration process. Auditioners should be prepared to read for several characters, and familiarity with roles and memorization are encouraged.
