Liberty Mountain Snowflex CentreLifeguard Certification
Advance your aquatics training with a blended learning Red Cross Lifeguard Certification course at Crosswhite. This program builds essential lifesaving skills and confidence in the water, leading to an official lifeguard credential. Participants should bring a towel and goggles. The online component must be completed before the first in-person session, and an in-water skills evaluation at the start of the course is required to continue. Attendees must be at least 15 years old at the time of registration. If there are issues accessing the online portion, contact the organizers for assistance. Refunds for cancellations are provided as club credit, and there are no refunds for canceling within 10 days of the first day of class, for sickness or inability to attend, or for not qualifying as a lifeguard.
Crosswhite Athletic ClubGlass Blowing Experience
Explore the basics of glass blowing in a beginner friendly workshop focused on shaping three hand blown pieces, such as ornaments or watering globes. Participants receive all materials and step by step guidance throughout the process. Finished pieces may vary in size and shape, and some may not be perfectly round, making each one of a kind. Not every attempt is guaranteed to succeed, which is part of the learning experience. Aprons, safety glasses, and heat resistant gloves are provided for working with hot tools and glass cutting. For safety, wear closed toe shoes and a fitted long sleeve shirt, avoid short sleeves and ruffled or bell styles, and tie back long hair. This activity is not recommended for individuals with respiratory issues, as blowing the glass may not be possible. Each attendee must register for their own project. Complimentary snacks and non alcoholic beverages are included.
