Yoga at the Taubman
Take a calming yoga class with local artist and instructor Bonny Branch in the museum atrium. Sessions run on Wednesdays and Sundays, with breaks on major holidays or during inclement weather. Bring your own mat. Admission is $10 for the public, $5 for museum members and youth, and free for museum volunteers. Because classes take place outside regular museum hours, use the security entrance at the back of the building. Arrive a little early to check in and take care of payment if you did not register online in advance.
Taubman Museum of ArtCanine Obedience and Socialization
Build everyday manners and confidence with a five-session group dog training class focused on real-world skills. Priced at $160, the program covers loose-leash walking that works outside the home, practical heelwork for better day-to-day control, and foundational cues such as sit, down, stay, and a consistent release. Handlers and dogs also work on focus around distractions and take part in calm, structured social exposure rather than free-for-all play. Lessons are designed to keep dogs feeling safe and successful, using thoughtful distance, clear structure, and careful setups to avoid overwhelm or reactivity. The first meeting is a virtual orientation and safety briefing, and later sessions meet at a private location in Roanoke, with details provided after orientation. All dogs are welcome, whether small or large, young or senior, shy, excitable, or reactive.
