757 Auto Events partners with Walmart Suffolk - College Dr for a charity car show that supports The Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters through the store’s collection efforts, contributing to the Suffolk location’s CHKD 757 Wal-Mart Challenge. This open-class competition uses standard scoring and features limited parking for about 100 show vehicles. Expect a lively atmosphere with cars and trucks on display, a 50/50 raffle, silent auction items, and music from a live DJ. Concessions will be on site to benefit the cause, including grilled hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, drinks, funnel cakes, deep fried Oreos, and cotton candy. Family activities include carnival-style games and a free coloring contest for all ages, with three winners recognized. Vehicle entry is a minimum of $25, with donations encouraged, and pre-registration is available for $21 through Big Cartel or PayPal. Day-of registration is $25. Vendors are welcome with advance payment of $35, and power is not provided. The program flows from registration to a drivers meeting, then judging, followed by awards and event wrap-up. Awards include 25 Outstanding Build recognitions, Best in Show and a runner-up, plus honors for classic and modern domestic builds, Asian imports, European builds, trucks or SUVs, orphan builds, and bikes or toys. Judge’s Choice distinctions will also highlight the best custom build and the best street build.

Set out for a kayaking outing at the Butler Tract in Lone Star Lakes Park. Participants receive help getting started, then are guided to a spot where they can paddle, explore, and enjoy the water at a comfortable pace.
