Clark College Sakura Festival
Celebrate spring and community at the annual Sakura Festival at Clark College. This free, public event honors a decades-long friendship that began when one hundred Shirofugen cherry trees were planted on campus as a symbol of connection between the region and Japan. Each year, the gathering takes place beneath the blossoms to recognize the sister-city relationship between Vancouver, Washington and Joyo, Japan. Presented by Clark College with the Vancouver Rotarians and the City of Vancouver, the program includes a ceremony in the Japanese Garden, followed by activities and displays in Gaiser Student Center with performances by Portland Shishimai Kai and Takohachi Q Ensemble. Festivities continue at Gray’s, where a JOYO Signature cocktail and appetizer are available, non-hosted.

A casual, salon-style happy hour at the Clark County Historical Museum centers on women who are shaping Southwest Washington through art, culture, business, education, and the steady work of community building. The focus is conversation, connection, and inspiration. Participants can share what matters to them and discover the projects and people others are supporting. A mobile recording studio from Jessica Geffen of The Sound Stage will be on site, offering a chance to step up to the microphone and shout out local creatives and places. Hosted by Women Invest | Johnson Bixby and Adriana Baer of the I'm Into This Place Podcast.
