Mile Of Music Festival
Mile of Music Festival is a completely free, music-first event that takes over a walkable mile in downtown Appleton for four days each August. The festival features hundreds of live, original performances by emerging artists, plus plenty of chances to get hands-on with music education experiences across a variety of local venues, parks, and public spaces. Expect a big lineup spread throughout the downtown area.
Houdini PlazaGnome Games Appleton North Weekly Yu-Gi-Oh! Genesys Tournament
A weekly Yu-Gi-Oh! Genesys tournament takes place at Gnome Games Appleton North, offering a streamlined format built around classic play and a points-based deck construction system. Entry is $5. Players receive a Tournament Pack for each match win, and anyone without a win still gets a participation pack. A Konami ID is required for in-store registration. In the Genesys format, Link and Pendulum Monsters are not allowed, and duels use the original field layout with no Extra Monster Zones or Pendulum Zones. The standard Forbidden and Limited list is not enforced, so those cards are legal except for Link and Pendulum cards, and the usual limit of up to three copies of any card still applies. Decks use a point cap, with most cards costing zero and select cards assigned values, and the combined total across Main, Extra, and Side Decks must stay within the event’s 100-point limit. Konami provides an online tool to help with deck building and point tracking, and additional format details are available through official resources.
Gnome Games Appleton NorthFrom Appleton to South Africa: Team Anika Fundraiser
Anika Olson has earned a spot on Team USA and is preparing to compete at the IPF World Championships in South Africa. A fundraiser at Tipsy Turtle will help cover the significant expenses that come with training, coaching, travel, and competing on the world stage. Expect raffles, drawings for gift baskets, a silent auction, Team Anika gear, and plenty of food and drinks. There will also be a chance to meet Team USA powerlifter Anika Olson.
MTG Legacy
This weekly Magic: The Gathering Legacy tournament features a $10 entry. It runs for a maximum of three rounds. Top finishers receive store credit, and prize support is based on attendance.
